state of lfarkas KVM repository + Centos KVM wiki
Hi all, I have followed the wiki howto to install KVM on my C5 server with a F10 x86_64 guest. Howto here: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/KVM With one small problem here: http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?post_id=74275&topic_id=19726 the guest is really running stable for one week now. Maybe someone could have a look at udev why it always sets permission for /dev/net/tun

With the help of the community I finished polishing the translation of my PHP script to Bash version http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=flat&topic_id=20222&forum=38 It has now autodetection of architecture and CentOS version and handles errors. I have published an article under my homepage here: http://wiki.centos.org/VladislavRastrusny/AutoRPMForgeRepo

potential wiki article on encryption
There is a posting in the CentOS forum that can potentially make a good article regarding encryption (or supplement the existing page). Please take a look at #4 of: http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=flat&topic_id=15923&forum=42 The poster says, "I think that the contents of this document would make a good addition to the wiki, but I don't have the

Editing HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
I'd like to ask for permission to edit HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey. There was a recent forum thread on using Windows tools to create an installation USB (https://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=flat&topic_id=44268&forum=55). I'd tried some suggested tools; see post no 20 in the thread. I'd like to edit the Wiki to reflect my results. Yves -- Yves

rt3 3.8.2 latest version as rpm for C5?
Hi, I know, epel has rt3 in version 3.6.x. And - sadly - for version 3.8.x the perl module dependencies are way ahead of what I can find in epel or rpmforge. But we really need some of the 3.8.x series features. So has anybody maybe built those modules + rt3 v3.8.x for C5? Any hint? I really do not want to install f10. :O Thx Rainer

wiki.centos.org logo behaviour
Im curious ? When I click on the logo in upper left corner on wiki.centos.org then I get to the wiki frontpage, not the www.centos.org page!?! This is a bit redundant IMHO, I already have the "frontpage" menu, but there is no way to navigate back to www from the wiki as I can see. And thats the beaviour on http://bugs.centos.org/main_page.php, click on logo gets you back to www.

CentOS 5.5 x64, HP ProLiant Microserver and eSATA
Hello all. Not sure how many people here also frequent the CentOS forums, so apologies for the 'cross post'. I know some here are using CentOS on HP's ProLiant Microserver, so if anyone's tried eSATA on their box, please let me know. Perhaps best to reply over at the forum - https://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=flat&topic_id=31558&forum=39 Thanks

Stumped by extlinux After OS Upgrade
Hello fellow syslinux/extlinux users! Please forgive the long post, but I believe my problem warrants the background info to understand the issue. I've developed a specialized spin of Fedora that runs off CompactFlash. The spin is actually produced by the livecd-tools package and is then transferred to the CF card -- which has been formatted with ext3 -- using livecd-tools'

a few more notes
hi, while all files is owned by nsd user and nsd run as nsd the nsd.db is still owned by root user (because the compiler run as root and create this file as root, ok i know just it'd be better if this file is owned by nsd too). another strange thing is that on the slave nsd i've got such messages: ----------------------------------------- zonec: reading zone "lfarkas.org".

I read all the docs, but I've got a few questions: - currently we use courier (since we find and install it quickly). can we switch from it to dovecot smoothly? or we have to convert the maildirs somehow? - I've got a few plan in my mind it it possible to do it with dovecot now or in the near future (if yes what
