Wine's working, Buzz ain't happy...
If anyone remembers, I was having issues running Jeskola Buzz with wine. I've fixed this by apt-get remove-ing the debian-unstable packages and compiling wine from source (wine-20020310) which has created the necessary registry files. However, when I try to run Buzz.exe, I get the following fixme:msvcrt:MSVCRT_setvbuf (0x403bc744,0x41544828,0,4096)stub fixme:msvcrt:MSVCRT_setvbuf

Dead Keyboard in all Apps
I'm running WINE ver. 1.1.24 on Ubuntu 8.04. Wine had been running fine when Oblivion crashed and locked my mouse and keyboard up (I wish I had the debug for that but I haven't been able to recreate the crash). I rebooted my machine, reloaded Oblivion and the keyboard was non responsive, the mouse was working but not the keyboard. I checked Opera (I had some prior errors with the keyboard

Hi gang I am running Fedora Core 4 (kernel 2.6.15-1.1831_FC4) and Wine version 0.97 REL 3.fc4 from the Extras repo. Unable to run Perfect World in Wine
Recently, I tried install a game called Perfect World (http://pwi.perfectworld.com/), which has not been tested in Wine yet. To my surprise, the installer ran beautifully. However, when I went to open it from the desktop shortcut, I received an error. WineHelper's log had this to say: Code: pfixme:d3d:IWineD3DImpl_FillGLCaps OpenGL implementation supports 16 vertex samplers and 16 total

kernel32.VirtualAlloc() limitation? - "Insufficient memory to perform operation"
Hello, capserve.exe is part of Adobe Acrobat 5's PaperCapture plugin. Runnning "wine capserve.exe" I get an error saying "Insufficient memory to perform operation" (although all runs fine under Windows). It seems that several calls to kernel32.VirtualAlloc(), ntdll.NtAllocateVirtualMemory() and related functions are executed right before the error message is issued. See

debugging an app
I'm trying to debug a program that page faults on me, and I'm actually quite keen to have a go at fixing it myself. Unfortunately, I seem to have fallen at the first hurdle: I can't make good use of the debug messages. Background: The program I am attempting to run is TrackLogs ( http://www.tracklogs.co.uk ). Installation went fine and on first run I got the licence key dialogue,

WIN 3.1 App crashes.. Unhandled Exception
The program is Atwin.exe (Accuterm) and going back to the 3.1 version as it's reliance on Windows specific .dll's is better than recent versions... However, I get as far as the initial splash screen and nothing.. If I hit the enter key twice it continues running for a bit, and then hangs.. When I run a trace, I get the following: Can anyone see at a glance if this is a bug, or just a

Larousse Multilingue: stack overflow in exception handler ?
Hi all, I'm trying to run the Larousse Multilingue Dictionnary pack. I've tried to run it under wine 0.9.17 (from codeweaver), 0.9.25 (from debian testing) 0.9.28 (from debian unstable) and 0.9.29 (from source). My wine setting is functional since I can use an older Larousse dictionnary (Bibliorom), no problem at all for any of the versions above. I downloaded a (legal) version of the
