RExcel waiting for OLE action
When I run a macro that uses RExcel, I get a dialog box that says "Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete an OLE action." There is no error in the RExcel commands in the macro, of that I am sure. The box appears to be related to the inclusion of RunRFile commands. The macro will run through the second RunRFile command, but will not execute the

About ZFS compatibility
I have created a pool on external storage with B114. Then I export this pool and import it on another system with B110.But this import will fail and show error: cannot import ''tpool'': pool is formatted using a newer ZFS version. Any big change in ZFS with B114 leads to this compatibility issue? Thanks Zhihui -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

opensolaris crash in vn_rele()
My newly upgraded opensolaris 2008.11 laptop crashed last weekend. (The OS was installed from the os 2008.11 live-cd and then upgraded using the package manager to snv_111.) I was trying to copy a large virtual pc image from my wife''s imac to the laptop. On a whim I had decided to create a separate zvol in the root pool to contain the image, figuring I could create a vbox with linux or

smbd starting up as non-root user
Hi all, FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE-p7, with standard port-built Samba 3.0.25a. Samba is running as a PDC, serving a small LAN of about 20 XP Pro hosts. Permissions on the [profiles] share are 0700, root:wheel owned, with each user's profile being owned by the user's UNIX user:wheel and with 0700 permissions. [homes] is fairly standard - I have left home dir ownership and permissions as

long character string problem
Hi All I am having 2 very long character strings (550chars) and I want to put them as expressions together with c(). The problem is that I also get these double-quotes, as seen below in 'fct'. How can I remove these double-quotes? I tried as.name() but it did not work (because of size?). These are creating trouble with subsequent programs, which I tested with strings that for some

Keymap definitions via virsh XML definition?
Hi, up to this point, I had never bothered about local keymap settings for my domUs because I only ever used RDP to access windows domains and serial for solaris/linux, but today I really needed to use the VNC console with a german keyboard layout. This is still on snv_111 I had tried setting <graphics type=''vnc'' port=''5900''

Announce: KDE User Manager does smbpasswd.
Hi, I'd like to announce a beta patch to the KDE user manager (kuser) that integrates the management of the smbpasswd encrypted password file with the existing password file. The eventual target audience is administrators installing Samba based PDC's, or other applications where an encrypted smbpasswd file needs to be managed using graphical tools not too dissimilar

IAX Call token revisited
I just finished a fresh install of 1.8.3.2 at home using the packages Digium hosts. After correcting a number of typo/config'o error that had crept in over the years, I thought I had everything working. My wife just complained that she cannot call her mother (who is using an old IAX hardphone I left for her). After turning up the logging level I see- chan_iax2.c: Call rejected, CallToken

kernel memory and zfs
We have a 32 GB RAM server running about 14 zones. There are multiple databases, application servers, web servers, and ftp servers running in the various zones. I understand that using ZFS will increase kernel memory usage, however I am a bit concerned at this point. root at servername:~/zonecfg #mdb -k Loading modules: [ unix krtld genunix specfs dtrace uppc pcplusmp ufs md mpt ip indmux ptm
