Having problem with menu.c32 on serial console
Hi all: I am running pxelinux 3.72 with the corresponding menu.c32. I am setting up console access via: serial 0 38400 console 0 The rest of the config file entries should be safe enough: display pxelinux.cfg/helpfile say . Type any key for manual boot. <F1> or <Ctrl-F> 1 for help F1 pxelinux.cfg/helpfile then the usual MENU/label commands. When I use the same

menu.c32 changes the key binding in tera term confusing user
Hi all: Well it looks like my declaration of having a working menu system was a tad premature. If I enter any of the submenu's using the enter key on my keyboard, it selects (and runs) the first item on the submenu. If I type ^j instead, it enters the menu and I can scroll through the options. If I type ^M, it acts like I hit the enter key and runs the first menu item. Now in my terminal

permitopen for -R connections?
It looks like there is good support for limiting connections on the server side when the client uses the -L flag. What about support for server side connections (listens) when the client uses the -R flag? I am looking for an equivalent to permitopen that says what ports are valid for the remote host when using the -R flag. As it sits now, an unscrupulous ssh user can bind to any port above 1024

Some news about HDT
While starting the earlier versions alone, Pierre joined quickly the project giving a useful help on developing the missing features. HDT is now integrated in Syslinux since 3.74 and regarding user's inputs on it, it sounds HDT is answering some needs. User's inputs are growing, many private mails were exchanged with early-adopters, improving HDT's behavior on many platforms.

Multiple PXE server Issue
We're working on setting up a Citrix environment within our school. In the end this will work on a special computer lab, and possibly some of the staff computers. (to deploy OS and applications). Another group of IT within the school uses Ghost to re-image their labs on a weekly (or bi-weekly) basis. And here's the problem.... Ghost is using a PXE server so that the computers can be

Opinion wanted: metadata in HTTP requests
I'm thinking it might be an interesting idea to pass ipappend-style metadata (and quite possibly additional information, e.g. obtained from DMI) when making a http request, but I'm not 100% sure about the best way to do it. Options are pretty much: 1. some kind of metavariables in either the configuration file or in the filename syntax. + very general. - cumbersome for the

Filtering feature dump_filter
Good morning, Now that hdt is capable of dumping system information it would be nice if there was some sort of filtering system which filters out unwanted information prior to dumping output. For example one could add the command: append nomenu auto=dump mac_address serial_number bios_version; And ultimately dumping output to a plain text file like: mac_address : 00:11:22:33:44 serial_number :

bad CF disks, etc
hi folks, I have 3 CF disks, 16M, 512M, 4G, only the 512 is working on my soekris 4801 other 2 show: Cannot get disk parameters coming from chain.c32 chain.c32 is not to blame, as bios also gives similar error > boot 80 No Boot device available, enter monitor. all 3 CFs are readable/writable on my desktop after fiddling with various fdisk parameters, I dd'd the image off the 512, and

Introducing a new com32 module : HDT
Since a while, I've been contributing some code to syslinux to improve the hardware detection. Most of that code have been revamped from other project like dmidecode or the linux kernel itself. The com32 api is really a nice play for developing new features. All of that work is only available in libraries or sample code. During his fosdem presentation

Both mbox and Maildir
Hi, I would like to know if it's possible to configure dovecot so that it use mbox file format for the INBOX mailbox but Maildir format for all the subfolders. My problem is I would like an IMAP server which allow to easily create folders and subfolders of folders, but at the same time I don't want to break all MUA which rely on /var/mail/johndoe in mbox format. Thanks in advance.
