[PATCH] Let MEMDISK honor the quiet append option
When you add "quiet" to the append line, Syslinux doesn't display the file reading progress anymore.
When you use this option to boot an image with MEMDISK, you still get a lot of text.

[PATCH] smbfs: smbfs do not honor uid, gid, file_mode and dir_mode supplied by user mount
Hi,
This patch fixes "Samba Bugzilla Bug 999". The last version (2.6.8.1) of
smbfs kernel module do not honor uid, gid, file_mode and dir_mode
supplied by user during mount. This bug is also logged as "Kernel Bug
Tracker Bug 3330". I think this stuff is related to the "unix
extensions". This patch offers to the client side the opportunity to
decide to use or

wcmd - CALL doesn't honor PATH
Hello,
I noticed this while attempting to run a DOS software suite. The CALL command in
wcmd doesn't seem to honor the set PATH.
If I put this in my environment (via regedit):
c:\windows;c:\windows\system;e:\;e:\test;f:\;f:\downloads\daphne\tools
Then I put the following in f:\downloads\daphne\tools\bob.bat:
path c:\windows;c:\windows\system;e:\;e:\test;f:\;f:\downloads\daphne\tools

R-devel with Darwin: some issues (mostly due to latest R.framework changes)
Some issues with the recent R-devel (rsync today) on Darwin:
1) Recent R-devel is a bit misleading concerning the R-framework
installation:
A new option --enable-R-framework was introduced, but
install-Rframework ignores its absence (or --disable-R-framework for
that matter) and tries to install the framework anyway in / which fails
just after the R itself was copied into /Versions/.... I

Then i figured out that you go to your home folder and find the MoH folder. edit the settings and simply changed "directx mode" to 9 not auto

Suggestion: deliver should honor mail_log_prefix
I can set the log prefix for imap/pop3 processes using mail_log_prefix
but the log prefix for deliver is hard-coded. (I'm using 1.1.13.)
Deliver should either honor mail_log_prefix or have its own setting
(deliver_log_prefix?). What do you think?

ROSH: bug or feature
Used rosh.c32 from syslinux-3.74-pre11.
When I typed 'pzd' in the shell:
> pzd
/boot/syslinux
> pwd
/boot/syslinux
I use an azerty keyboard. Due to that I typed 'pzd'.
Is it a feature or a bug?

C7 Plus Kernel
A new kernel for Centos 7.4.1708 was released several days ago, version 3.10.0-693.17.1. Will there be a matching CentOS Plus kernel?
Thanks for all the effort in providing that.
Also, is there an announce list for Plus updates?

CentOS 7 Plus Kernel Update Missing?
Along with the recent kernel update (3.10.0-1062.9.1.el7), the CentOS 7 plus kernel was likewise updated. The plus kernel though hasn't shown up in the mirrors yet, while the plain kernel has. Could someone please push the release button for the plus kernel?
What I do see in the various random mirrors I've manually checked is the previous plus kernel

pxelinux and DISPLAY
I've begun tinkering with syslinux v3 and have uncovered an anomoly with
the DISPLAY file when called by pxelinux.0.
If I have:
DISPLAY boot.msg
With an "^Xsplash.lss\n" in the file boot.msg (exactly: 18 73 70 6C 61
73 68 2E 6C 73 73 0A) file, it will fail to load the rle image. And
produce some goofy results in the tftpd log:

HFSPlus Question
In CentOS 7.2.1511 does the 3.10.0-327.18.2.el7.centos.plus.x86_64 (Plus)
kernel read HFSPlus iMac drives? I don't see any hfsplus modules installed
anywhere, so I suspect not. My sister's 17" iMac died, and I'm trying to
recover the drive. If it spins up, I'd like to copy it with dd.
I see that Elrepo has kmod-hfsplus and hfsplus-tools, will these work with
the Plus kernel?

syslinux 4.06pre11 issues
I've recently purchased an SSD with the goal of having a portable
MS-Windows installation, something which Windows 8's "Windows to Go"
feature allows (install to, and boot/run from, USB flash device).
Housing the SSD in an external Zalman VE300 case allows presenting ISO
files as hardware CD/DVD/BD drive with inserted medium. Having the ISO
files present, it's tempting
