COM32 module: Read-Only shell
Well, here's the read-only shell (rosh) that I've been working on.
It's functional but still quite rough. My primary intention of
posting it at this time is such that people have an easy way to
demonstrate to themselves that the library calls I made work.
This should apply as a patch to the head of the "dir" branch and the
patch for c_cflag/c_lflag. The patch is only

rosh patch
Hey Guys,
Below is a patch for the com32/rosh/rosh.c from tonights syslinx git.
The patch does the following:
1) changes the rosh_issp to use an if instead of a case for this simple
test.
2) changes the rosh_dir_arg function to move the readdir() to inside the
while test.
This will let me go through my APUE book.
Let me know if you have any questions.

rosh patch V2
Here is a second version of my patch from last night.
It uses the provided ctype function isspace and does the same readdir().
I remove the rosh_issp() function. I admit to being a bit liberal with my
use of braces and spaces.
We all of the habit of knowing we can invent a more perfect wheel.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Do we have indications that different versions of gcc5
cause different behavior on the same build and boot machines ?

[GIT PULL] elflink cmdline
Hi,
The following patches are just copying some functionality that exists
in the asm cmdline code into the C version. There's still a few more
things to do but we're getting there.
The following changes since commit 8c576f1fe03e34879921311f46613a35c6530000:
Merge remote-tracking branch 'mfleming/for-hpa/elflink/fix-compiler-warnings' into elflink (2011-03-16 12:53:58 -0700)

Patches for samba 3.0.0 client/client.c
Patch against samba 3.0.0 client/client.c
Mainly for -L parameter options
1.) Add a configurable connection delay. The default is too long.
Add items to long_options of poptOption for help message, however I
just put something "i.e. CONNSETUP" to the last parameter of
long_options. It seems for use of documentation ????

zpool history coredump
Pawel,
another one (though minor, I suppose) bug report: while playing with my poor
pool, I tried to interact with it on -current, thus importing it with -f
(without upgrading, of course).
After reverting to RELENG_7, I found I no more can access history:
root@moose:~# /usr/obj/usr/src/cddl/sbin/zpool/zpool history
History for 'm':

segfault reading large BLOB from SQL Server
I am getting segfaults when I try to read a large binary object from a SQL
Server database via RODBC. I am using the FreeTDS ODBC driver, and it has
been working fine when reading from this same database. I have included
relevant parts of the session below.
Each row of the v_MAFiles view holds a text, html or pdf version of a
document. The FileType entry is one of TXT, PDF, or HTML. If

Example input data with example output using relative pathway in vignette of R package?
I'm putting together an R package. I would like to show example code in the
vignette, where example data files (included in the package) are used to
generate an (example) output file.
I read about using example data in Hadley Wickham's post (
http://r-pkgs.had.co.nz/data.html), and believe I should keep my example
data as raw data, as it must be parsed to generate the output.
So, I
