SYSLINUX 3.74-pre17: (hopefully final) release candidate
Let's try to get this thing released. Dag: will you do your RPM buildathon on this drop? Changes in 3.74: * New UI directive, which allows a more natural way to specify a menu system (or not.) With the UI directive specifying the menu system, the DEFAULT directive can be used to select the default entry inside the menus. * kbdmap.c32: new module

Build a bootable floppy image which contains HDT
It is now possible to build a bootable floppy image which contains HDT, with my patch applied to Erwans HDT branch: http://git.zytor.com/?p=users/erwan/hdt.git;a=commit;h=16b37fe2266c920087f88cdec94243b71218d871 Unpack the Syslinux archive and build whole Syslinux first, then cd to ./com32/hdt/ and make hdt.img $ make $ cd ./com32/hdt/ $ make hdt.img Now you have a 2.88 MB floppy image which

Syslinux 3.83 released
Hi all, I have just released Syslinux 3.83. Special thanks to my employer, Intel, for letting me spend time on this. It is somewhat of a meager release despite four months, as most of the work has gone into the future-work branches. -hpa Changes in 3.83: * PXELINUX: clear memory before handing over to a chainloaded NBP. This may help avoid a bug in Windows RIS. *

How to glue com32 module in grub2 ?
Hello Erwan and others, I am running HDT from grub2 with memdisk. I have informed the success of booting hdt to the grub2 list. Some developers are very much interested to this issue and they are showing their interest to make a glue between com32 and grub2 so that hdt can be loaded without memdisk. It is really very exciting to have hdt as an inbuilt feature of grub2. Could any one kindly

Reformatting run...
I have run Nindent, the reformatting script, over all the C code, *except* HDT and externally maintained code (gPXE, libpng, tinyjpeg, zlib, and LZO). I'll leave it up to Erwan and Pierre to do gPXE. Please help clean up any stupidities when you see them. Especially asm() statements are quite butchered by Nindent, but even for common C code any automatic reformatting occasionally does

HDT 0.3.6-pre2 is out !
The -pre2 version of HDT 0.3.6 is out. Gert was a great source of motivation for making that -pre2. He found many bugs and gave nice ideas. Thanks Gert for your time and your _many_ tests. This release will be more or less what will be included in the incoming syslinux 3.84. Since -pre1, here come the Changelog * Reporting CPU L1 & L2 cache * Report "Hw.Virt" in cpu

HDT 0.3.2 is out
HDT 0.3.2 is out and mainly add a better disk management My previous work on disks was a little bit limited and incomplete. On the cli side, we now have more commands : hdt> show disk This command will show a
