Synaptics touchpad and slow xen boot...
I did it! By disabling acpi and apic i got Xen 3.0.2 booted... now, next
step is resolving other problems, because when the kernel loads i got
many errors when touchpad drivers are loaded (Synaptics). It seemd the
system has hanged but if i still wait 5 minutes, the system continues
loading. When doing init scripts (very, very, very slowly) pci_hotplug
fails (after 5 minutes) and i got the system

[ANNOUNCE] xf86-input-synaptics 1.8.99.1
The first snapshot for synaptics 1.9 is now available.
A bunch of patches that have been sitting on git master for quite a while
now but many of these have been ported over to the 1.8.x stable releases.
Perhaps the most (in)significant change in this release is that we dropped
touch events from the driver. Previously, when all in-driver gestures like
two-finger scrollings were disabled, the

synaptics problem
Hi,
I've recently installed FreeBSD 6.3, and I've got a problem with
synaptics.
I've installed it, followed the pkg-message :
hw.psm.synaptics_support=1
It works, dmesg gives :
psm0: <PS/2 Mouse> irq 12 on atkbdc0
psm0: [GIANT-LOCKED]
psm0: model Synaptics Touchpad, device ID 0
moused_enable="NO"
ps shows me that moused doesn't run.

First snapshot for evdev 2.2.
Lots of cleanup, and - most notably - general axis/button support.
For those running an X server from master, evdev will label axes and buttons
for you.
shortlog is a bit longer than it actually is, it includes a number of patches
that were cherry-picked onto 2.1 and have since been released.
Cheers,
Peter

synaptics 1.9.1 is now available. A few build system janitorial things, a
compatibility patch by Luca and one patch to avoid log spam when the device
goes away (and before udev tells us that it's gone).
synaptics is in maintenance mode, so don't expect any new great features.

[ANNOUNCE] xf86-input-synaptics 1.6.3
synaptics 1.6.3 is now available. Over the RC this release only includes a
config example.
Compared to 1.6.2, we've had a memory leak fixed, better behaviour for
synaptics soft buttons and, most importantly, a fix to reset the touch state
after suspend.
Cheers,
Peter

One significant change here: an artificial delay is now used between
the button events of a doubletap. Some applications previously dropped the
events because they had the same timestamp, with the delay this should now
work fine.
