ASUS PT6 or Intel DX58SO for CentOS?
I'm looking at setting up a new machine to run CentOS 5 and a few VMWare machines to test Windows XP, Vista, and 7. I'm working with a custom PC shop and they've recommended I use either the ASUS PT6 or Intel DX58SO. Any feedback good or bad on either of these? Thanks! --Chris

Hey All, I''ve just commited rev 1505, which now includes a GraphicsContext demo, just in time for a release. *wipes forehead* So far, it''s looking pretty good. BTW Alex, another bug came up while working with GraphicsContext, but wasn''t something as major that could prevent me from completing the demo. Splitting wxRuby2.so into multiple libraries
Hey Alex and fellow developers, I figured I''d split this off into a seperate discussion, to get an idea of what to look at with this. Ofcourse, with every first step, there needs to be some kind of outline set forth to split up wxRuby2 into multiple libraries, to ensure coherance amongst the developers, and future development, so people will know, this goes to this, this goes to

Sockets.....
Hey Alex and Sean, After much review, and testing, of creating a Sockets library that would reliably work with Ruby Threads, and recent posts about trouble with Ruby Threads and wxRuby, I''ve come to the conclusion that it would not be a reliable method in which to create this library through pure Ruby code. Either we will need to check out 1.9.0 (Since it''s been officially

Window#create
Hi I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any circumstances where the "create" methods that all Windows have are useful? They end up producing quite a lot of C++ code so I might try undeffing them if they''re useless. Alex

sendmail Deferred mail - reason unknown
I'm a bit baffled by this problem. Maybe there's a sendmail guru out there who can help me out here. We have some end-users who need to receive system-generated mail that originates from a java-based application on our network. The java app sends the mail through our sendmail cluster, which then sends the email on to the end-user over the Internet. The size of the emails can range from

Large Database with lots of tables
Hello all, I am a rails nuby and I am evaluating using Rails for a new web application. The application will have a large number of tables (>70) that will basically mimic a large collection of paper forms that user would otherwise have to fill out. From what I have read on rails thus far it seems I would have to create a lot of models and form templates. Is this common and if so does

A Question of Style
Please read this in the spirit of my understanding what the CentOS community norms are. I fault neither of those mentioned for doing what they have done. I just want to understand how we all are documenting the CentOS distribution. In http://wiki.centos.org/Contribute#head-42b3d8e26400a106851a61aebe5c2cca54dd79e5 the standard for the wiki username is established as FirstnameLastname. In
