mod_bandwidth
Is there a compiled mod_bandwidth rpm in CentOS or EPEL? I can't seem to find it, what name does it use if there is one? Basically all I need to do is find a way to severely throttle apache for testing an upload progress bar - my bandwidth on my lan is too fast, the progress bar either only gets one update or none by the time the files are uploaded (5 8 megapixel jpegs) - even when I use

mod_gnutls and named based virtual hosts on HTTPS
All, For anyone interested, there is an rpm in the CentOS testing repository for mod_gnutls for CentOS 5. It allows named based virtual hosting for HTTPS (Single IP, multiple sites and certificates). The idea to build the RPMS came from this article: http://www.g-loaded.eu/2007/08/10/ssl-enabled-name-based-apache-virtual-hosts-with-mod_gnutls/ Here is a guide for installing and using the new

CentOS to support ICH9
Hi, full ICH9 support for Centos 5 can be found http://fs12.vsb.cz/hrb33/pub/ Take it as a workaround until CentOS 5.1 is released. I hope ICH9 to be included in this version. Support is done by backporting from new kernel versions. Delta file is created with mkdeltaiso from CentOS-5.0-i386-bin-DVD.iso, so full image can be created with applydeltaiso. Regards, David Hrb??

mod_gnutls on Centos 4

Creating an alternitive install CD for CentOS 5.2 (w/ patched mkinitrd)
I need to be able to install CentOS 5.2 on a machine with software RAID (and LVM) setup. I discovered (the hard way!) that there is a bug in the mkinitrd package that causes it to enter an endless loop when there are /dev/mapper/ devices present during the install process. There is a patch to mkinitrd, which I applied and created a new rpm for mkinitrd with this patch applied. I'd like to

need some help with compiling mod_gnutls
Hi everybody, I want to build mod_gnutls. The problem: CentOS' version of GNUTLS is too old to link against, so I compiled and installed GNUTLS from source and put it into /opt where it doesn't hurt the already installed GNUTLS. Now I have trouble linking against this version as the autoconf buildchain in mod_gnutls does not find the newer version. I tried like this: ./configure

httpd with SNI
Hi! I am currently publishing some web services on a Centos 5.3 server on my office using the included apache httpd. They are available from the Internet, and they require validation (username/password). I would like to publish them all under https, so the passwords won't travel unencrypted, but then all my sites use the same certificate on apache httpd. The solution to this is using an

repository for mod_security
I want to add mod_security to my Apache server running CentOS 5.3 and am trying to find a repository to get it from. I found it in EPEL, but they have version 2.1.7, which is over a year old according to what I found on the modsecurity.org website. Is there a repository which is keeping this up to date? Or should I just build it from source? -- Bowie

yum-3.2.8 for Centos 4 backport, part II.
Hi, I have again worked on yum 3.2.8 for Centos 4 today, after a long time. The result is backported package yum-3.2.8-9.el4.hrb.2.1.5 which is the upgrade of yum-3.2.8-9.el4.hrb.2.1.3 I've been using smoothly for quite a long time. Packages are in testing repos: http://fs12.vsb.cz/hrb33/el4/hrb/testing/i386/repodata/ http://fs12.vsb.cz/hrb33/el4/hrb/testing/x86_64/repodata/ I'd like to

CentOS 5.0 and php-yaz
Hi, I have a CentOS 5.0 LAMP server, and I need to install the php-yaz module to implement the Z39.50 protocol (which handles data exchange for public libraries). I've already done this with Debian (a one-liner: apt-get install php-yaz) and also on Slackware (more complicated: compile Yaz, rebuild PHP). Has anyone here ever done this on CentOS? What would be the most orthodox method to

mock, extras vs epel
I am looking to be a bit more standard in the builds of my CentOS rpms, and so I was about to install mock but noticed that there is one provided in the centos/5/extras and another in epel. epel is obviously newer, but are there reasons/experiences in this group that would suggest sticking with the extras version instead? Or even reasons other than the shiny version number on the epel one to

Centos 5.0 Intel G33/P35 Chipset Support (Asus P5K-VM, P5KC)
I have 2 new boxes that I cannot use yet because of problems supporting these newer chipsets in 5.1. Does anyone know when the CD version of 5.0 x86-64 that has support for these chipsets be available on any on a Centos mirror? Has the support for these chipsets been added to yum yet? Here are my latest results with these chipsets and Centos 5.1 1. Asus P5K, E6850, P35 Chipset: Does not
