http://www.tomshardware.com/consumer/20040428/index.html The iRiver iGP-100 was just reviewed at Toms Hardware. They specifically mention that it supports Vorbis. Just thought I'd pass this along. Odd Polycom Reboot Issue
Hello list- I'm having an extremely odd issue with an installation of mine. The system is running * 1.2.12.1 and currently handles around 100 handsets. With the exception of a few Grandstream DTA's, all devices are Polycom 320, 430, or 601's. After a recent power outage, I'm having an extremely odd issue with one of the handsets. One of the Polycom 601 units simply reboots every

Disk near failure
Hi Yamaban, Great expalanation. I think you know how to buy an ssd. There is no doubt about samsung ssds quality vs other. My question about neutron was to get your opinion about this product. My doubt was about differences between slc, mlc and tlc. Mlc endurance respect tlc is better and I though that the mlc of neutron gives me more endurance respect to the tlc. From a technic point of view,

[PATCH 3/3] drm/virtio: implement prime export
Just run drm_prime_pages_to_sg() on the ttm pages list to get an sg_table for export. The pages list is created at object initialization time, so there should be no need to handle an unpopulated page list. Add a sanity check nevertheless. Boxplot issues
Boxplot and bxp seem to have changed behaviour a bit of late (R 2.4.1). Or maybe I am mis-remembering. An annoying feature is that while at=3:6 will work, there is no way of overriding the default xlim of 0.5 to n+0.5. That prevents plotting boxes on, for example, interval scales - a useful thing to do at times. I really can see no good reason for bxp to hard-core the xlim=c(0.5, n+0.5) in the

Adding a kernel module to the ISO/installer initrd?
Greetings list! Because of the sheer number of box (re)installations we do that have a CentOS base, I've converted our provisioning process to PXE. However, I've found that an alarming number of motherboards are coming with the Realtek RTL8168 ethernet controller onboard. When the system boots, it cannot find an ethernet controller and the installer process hangs. I made a new initrd

Rendering farm?
I received at least one email suggesting a Windows-based rendering farm - likely to consist of a few rack systems all running 64-bit Windows. I read an article on Tomshardware which gave some decent insight. What can list participants offer on this concept? I don't care _how_ the resource is implemented - virtual machine, cluster, etc. I just want to get the most resources for the money,

Netcell RAID cards
Hi, Anyone tried netcell products on Centos 3 or 4? They claim driverless operation under WinXP, but in linux the only doc that is related with CentOS would be the Fedora core 2 (http://www.netcell.com/support/Fedora_Core2_readme.txt) and requires a kernel rebuild. I'd like to know if it would be possible to install CentOS directly on drives on such a card, without needing a build

1.6 and asterisk gui
Hello, I'm new to asterisk and this list. The ISO download appears to have 1.6 with the FreePBX GUI but I am looking to use the Asterisk GUI. The only option for the Asterisk GUI is to use 1.4. Is it as simple as installing 1.6 only then using the yum repository to install the Asterisk GUI? If so, what packages are needed? Thanks!

SIP OPTIONS "storm"?
Greetings- I recently experienced an odd situation. I have an Asterisk 11.5.0 system (Box A) with a SIP peering to another Asterisk 1.8.23.0 system (Box B). At some point, Box A started sending over 65Mbps of SIP OPTIONS packets to Box A. I do have qualify=yes for the peer on both sides, and the qualifyfreq is not set (aka default of 60secs). Of course, logs on Box A were not set to show debug

----www.cdsportal.net---- wholesale voip provider
Why pay 1.1 cent's a minute for interconnecting to another Asterisk server for a high volume call center. Do people really understand what they are trying to sale and take an honest look into what they advertise. As a high volume user like a call center I would not connect my Asterisk Box to there Asterisk Box to a third Sip provider who then hands of to the Level 3 and so forth. With LD

Windows 7 clients not joining domain with Samba PDC
Yes I searched, I tried fixes, I pulled my hair out and finally gave in. New Windows 7 desktop trying to join a domain happily service XP clients from Samba 3.5.10 on Centos 6.3. I've applied the registry fix from https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Windows7#Windows_7_Registry_settings and rebooted, no joy. I've tried nikonz' changes from

Calls randomly being placed on hold...
Hello! I'm having a bit of an issue with one of my installations that I cannot figure out. For some reason, when two people are in a call (both local to the * box, same subnet, pure SIP), the call will randomly be placed on hold and provide MOH to the other party. We're using Polycom IP430 handsets almost exclusively for this installation. Can anyone think of a reason why a call would

[OFFTOPIC] integrated LSI 3008 :: number of hdd support
In my experience the mass market HBAs and RAID cards typically do support only 8 or 16 drives. For the internal variety in a standard rack-mount server you'll usually see either 2 or 4 iPass cables (each of which support 4 drives) connected to the backplane. The marketing material you've referenced has a white lie in it: supporting more than 16 drives on a single card is very likely only
