CentOS 6.3 - KDE login screen configuration problems
Hello,
We generally use CentOS for some servers, and so do not use a GUI
interface. However, I have recently installed CentOS 6.3 onto a PC with
KDE. I am familiar with KDE as I use it with Fedora for my work PC.
The problem is that we would like to configure the login screen, so that
it does not show the user list, that it does not allow the shutdown or
reboot commands (from the login screen),

What repo did this rpm come from? rpm-VVa failures on new install
Here is a list of files that I have not (knowingly) modified that do
not pass rpm verification immediately after I installed centos 5.3. I
am not really sure what this means - are the packagers sending out
sloppy rpms, or is something going around modifying stuff? Other than
the texmf stuff, the list seems to consist entirely of config files.
Does yum or rpm or something do some instant

Hi all,
I'm building a Linux application server to replace 98% of the windows workstations in an enterprise. I'm using
Winbind to auth users logging into the server (through kdm/xdmcp) against the existing win2k AD PDC.
There are more than 50 different login scripts for the different users and groups. Because this company has
no in house Linux support I want to keep it as simple and easy

VNC & GDM & runlevel 3
Has anybody been able to get this to work ?
I have been trying multiple options until now but all give me the empty
crappy desktop with black cross display...
I have tried changing the server_args in the xinetd config, but that
makes a connection and exits straigt away...
On 1 box it works in runlevel 5, but that is obvious (IMHO)...
