Kerio Mail Server - anyone?
Hey guys, I'm trying to install the latest Kerio and it seems to want an older version of libstdc++ which I cannot find anywhere in RPM land (sorry, but I just know gmail is going to mangle this on its way out ) [root at localhost ~]# rpm --install /home/amckay/kerio-kms-6.7.3-7892.linux.i386.rpm error: Failed dependencies: libstdc++.so.5 is needed by kerio-kms-6.7.3-7892.linux.i386

Intermittent Authentication Errors
Hello Samba People, We have a Kerio Connect (email) server using Samba 4.8.5 as it’s directory service (3 AD DCs). We’ve been using this setup for about 3 years now. Over the last several months, we’ve been trying to find out why Samba starts rejecting attempts that the Kerio Connect mail server makes to authenticate our users. The errors in Kerio look like this: Authentication failed for user

Migration Of Records From Old Samba Domain To New One
Thank you for taking time to do this, Andrew. But, of course, it will be too late for me. I’ve just returned from exile, where I went on a spirit quest of sorts. Except that, on this quest, I was obliged to keep my distance until I had found a way to export and import all users, groups and group membership from my old samba domain to my new one. I updated schema to support Kerio Connect using

Kerio Mailserver on Centos 5
I was wondering if any of the mail admins on here have used the kerio mail server on centos, and their thoughts on it. My initial testing is going very well - but was hoping for some unbiased opinions (as opposed to asking on the kerio forum) on it's use with centos (5 in particular if possible). THE typical q's - IE performance, issues, etc. Thanks in advance. Dk

NFS new security requirements?
Hi I've suddenly lost access to some permanent cross-server shares. I think this was following the Nov 5 new kernel, rather than the Centos version upgrade. I don't see any difference to man mount.nfs I have:- [root at hs6 ~]# mount hs8:/data /sysback/hs8-data -v mount: no type was given - I'll assume nfs because of the colon mount: trying 172.26.0.8 prog 100003 vers 3 prot tcp port

long print times
we have two machines/users that experience extremely long wait times when printing documents to samba servers. Both machines are Windows XP. We have also noted that both were running personal firewalls, one was micrisofts, the other was kerio. We also noted that when turning these firewalls OFF, the wait times vanished and the systems behaved normally. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Any

Error Upgrading Schema
In general we do not allow the removal of schema. In particular, because records in samba are stored under the attribute name, removing schema or renaming schema items describing those attributes and objectclasses can mean records cannot be processed correctly. However, if you confirm you really have exactly the entry already in the schema, you could edit the new schema not to add that

NFS lockups
I thought this had been fixed with newer kernels? We have an old Maxtor Snap Server, an 80 GB NAS unit, containing some of our archives. Both of our CentOS servers have it permanently mounted by NFS for convenient access. This weekend, I discovered remotely that, although all systems except the VRTSralus remote agents for Veritas (now Symantec) Backup Exec were working just fine, both servers

update clamav to 0.99.2
Helo, update is in EPEL repository. on startup, clamd does not further create clamd.sock and clamd.pid clamd service stops without any message - even in debug mode. It's a nightmare. yum update was run 23.10.19 and then 05.11.19 to the beginning of the update 5.11.2019 kernel logging to /var/log/messages was ok. During the update at 5.11.2019 logging to /var/log/messages finished. I persume, this bug began during processing updates. yum-log shows: ........... Hallo, yesterday from 3 to 11 pm UTC our Java application was down. As far as I know, the server java.sun.com was not available. Needs any java application direct access to sun? Can I stop this hell? Any idea? Best regards Helmut -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

hwclock problem
Hi. I run peridocally (from cron) on all of my machines 30 * * * * root /sbin/hwclock --systohc All of those machines in question take their time via NTP from the same local server, and that server gets its time from a ntp pool. Now I had to reboot a couple of them two days ago and to my surprise all had problems with the time upon booting. Here are the important files: [root at XXXXXX ~]

Pushing real machines into KVM/Qemu
Hi all, I took a real Core 2 machine (T7200? whose motherboard was starting to die?) running Fedora 29 and dd?d the SSD over to my KVM server, then created a VM using ?create from existing image?. After some tweaking, including setting the disk type to ?SATA? from ?Virtio?, I got it working. Is there a fixed recipe for virtualizing CentOS/Fedora/RHEL instances into running VM?s on KVM/Qemu?

Error Upgrading Schema
Thanks for taking a shot at helping me, Rowland. I found that someone had made this suggestion for another person in the past, so I ran this command before reaching out on Monday: > ldbsearch -H /var/lib/samba/private/sam.ldb -b "CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,$(echo "DC=$(hostname -d)" | sed 's/\./,DC=/g')" -s base objectVersion | grep 'objectVersion' | awk
