flash plugin
How do I get a flash plugin to work with firefox?
I thought that I installed it correctly,
but I have yet to see any flash videos through firefox.
I keep being told that I need an additional plugin.
When I folow directions, I'm told I already have it?
At least once, I was told I needed to upgrade.
In case it helps, here is the output of
yum provides '*flash*' | grep -e lash -e dobe

Adobe Flash Install Woes
I am having a hell of a time getting adobe flash to work on a recent 5.2
install.

Running firefox as root -- I have verified there is a symlink in
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins that points to the actual plugin located in
/usr/lib/flash-plugins

SoI then copied the plugin directly into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins and
eliminated the symlink from the equation.

Flash player beta
Has anyone tried the new flash player beta for Linux?
http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html
I can't get it to work on CentOS 6.8, ff 45.3.0-1, all x86_64. ff's pluginreg.dat shows the plugin is [INVALID], which is often a sign of bitness-mismatch, but that's not the case here.
$ tail -n 3 pluginreg.dat
[INVALID]

Problem again with shockwave, or flash player (I think)...
Hi there,
OK I thought I had this problem solved last week. Last week with help from this list, we installed the flash player on my Centos 5 desktop machine.
But now when I go to cnbc, I am getting that same problem when trying to view vids on their site. So I click the icon where the empty video frame is to install the plugin, the "no suitable plugins were found" box come comes up

Music while you work - or not
Wanting to listen to magnatune.com while I worked, I discovered that flash is
not working. It appears that I don't have libflashplayer, but yum tells me
that no such package is available. I must need a different repo, I think,
but what? Currently I have
ls /etc/yum.repos.d/
adobe-linux-i386.repo epel-testing.repo
CentOS-Base.repo kbsingh-CentOS-Extras.repo

Flash plugin not working
Hi,
I have a fresh install of CentOS 5.5, with a minimal GNOME desktop. I
configured RPMForge as third party repo.
I updated everything first, then installed flash-plugin. (And yes, I
restarted Firefox... :oD). All I see when I try to see some things Flash
on the Internet, like Youtube or the likes, I get... nothing. The space
remains white. Sometimes a black square will appear, sometimes it

flash and konqueror
I am stuck taking this stupid online training course from work. It just
sits there doing nothing with firefox, so I pulled up konqueror, and tell
it to lie and say it's IE. That works... until it gets to the content,
which some HR moron is *positive* desperately needs to be in flash.
I've gone into konqi's configuration, and told it to scan the correct
directory for plugins, and yet

Adobe plugin for firefox
I'm having an issue with workstation opening pdf's with firefox. I have
the adobe plugin installed and enabled in firefox but firefox will only
let me save the file. Under applications I have tried using the doc reader
and adobe to associate pdf's with firefox with no luck. I am running
firefox 3.0.4. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-1 having problems since firefox-3.0.7-3.el4.centos
Updated yesterday to the latest firefox from CentOS, and now RPMforge
flash-plugin will only play a few seconds of video (such as CNN,
iReport, etc.) at a time before becoming stuck; dragging the slider
back a little allows it to play a bit further, but then it stops
again. YouTube plays the video without sticking, but has no sound.
glibc issues on el4 prevent upgrading to the newer flash-plugin

flash player on seamonkey 1.0.9 x86_64 centos 4.5
I downoaded flash9 for linux.
Installed it:
ls /usr/lib64/mozilla-seamonkey-1.0.9/plugins/
flashplayer.xpt libflashplayer.so libnullplugin.so
However seamonkey is not doing flash yet.
Does it not work in 64 bit? Did I miss something?
Anyone else have flash going on amd64?
I thought you put the files in the above directory and restart.
Didn't work for me.

200 Stream not found errors in flash player and firefox
Hi List,
I have been getting the above errors for the last few months and
extensive google foo has been less than conclusive - but indicates that
the requesting flash player is somehow putting the wrong url content
into the request.
After I recently did a yum update on my wife's laptop she too started
getting these errors. She has an old sony laptop running 5.8 and other
than this error
