Need some Gruff graphing help - custom dimensions?
I''ve been working with Gruff to do all my apps graphing and such etc. I love it but I''m just having a hard time customizing the graphs, but this is perhaps due to my inability to comprehend the online RDocs. What I want to do is adjust the width / heights of my graphs or at the VERY LEAST the heights. It seems that if you scale a graph anywhere below 400-450px it is pretty

Have a quick Gruff Graphing question
I have some graphs and everything is working great, but I''d like to set a minimum height so to speak on the vertical scale. Is there a method to do that with Gruff? I''ve tried looking through the docs but can''t seem to get it to work. So for example, if the highest datapoint in my graph was say 500, is it possible to have the minimum vertical scale on the left set

Gruff: Adjustment of font and labels
Hi, My graphs are working properly except two things: 1. The font of the "title" is way to big and so gets cropped and 2. On X-axis I want to display my labels which are varchars. But again because of the limitation of the graph size it is overlapping on one another. I can increase the graph dimension but it doesn''t look good. Any ideas on 1. How to reduce the font 2. Is

Strange problem with Gruff not always displaying graph
Hello, I am having a strange problem with Gruff not always displaying the graph on the page. On some pages, the graph is displayed fine. On others, however, I just get the number relating to the id of the requested item - in my case, report. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I have the following in my controller: def create_graph g = Gruff::Line.new(290) g.title =

3D graphing Libraries
Unfortunately a number of our clients need extensive reporting capabilities. There are a number of Java 3d graphing libraries like the link below and PHP offerings out there. http://big.faceless.org/products/graph/index.jsp .Net has its new report viewer control for ASP.net 2.0 which allows you to create 2d/3d reports containing pie charts, line graphs etc. Whats cool about this control is

Gruff Graphs for Scatter Plot
Hi all, Is there any way to generate a scatter plot with Gruff? I had a look at it but it seemed to me to only want a category type x axis. Gruff with PDF::Writer
Hello all Has anyone managed to embed gruff graphs into a PDF document using pdf::writer? The easy way (as far as I can see) would be to just save the gruff graph as a temporary file then read that file in pdf::writer. I was wondering if anyone had managed to get them working together directly? RJ -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~

How to draw a border for multiple graphs in one page
Hi, I am struggling to create a 2 by 2 multiple graphs in one page. I used par(mfrow=c(2,2)) to divide the screen into 4. In each screen I draw a pie chart (They are all same). For example, my data is like this Concentration value A1 69 A2 8 G1 51 G2 1

Gruff - using customized scale
Hi I searched through the forum for the answer but couldn''t find any pointers. I have created an application using the gruff graphs. The problem is that these charts automatically calculates the y-axis scale. The requirement is to be in multiple of 100''s but internally it by default calculates something else which is not very convenient to read. Can someone please post some

Help with labeling a page with multiple graphs.
Hi, I am trying to output pdf files with 8 graphs per page. My current study has 8 evaluation criteria, and 38 study conditions. This would result in 38 pages of 8 graphs. I have figured out how to get the graphs looking like I would like them, and I am using the layout() function to put them on the page, as that allows me the control I would like over the appearance of the individual plots.

Adding points sequentially to multiple graphs in one window (device)
Dear R-help list: I have want seems to be a simple task, but can't find a solution. I tried querying the archives, but did not succeed. My goal is to set up two (or more) graphs in one graph window, and then during execution of a sequential algorithm add points sequentially to these graphs. The graphs have different scales / coordinates. I use the par(mfg...) command to switch between
