Keep lossing wireless - ipw3945
Sunday I updated my kernel to 128.1.16 (I had to reboot so it was time to update). No problems with wireless in my home. Monday I started traveling to IEEE 802 plenary, and I have lost my wireless numerous times needing to reboot. The symptom is the radio light goes off. Back before the kernel update, this would happen sometimes at home while on battery, and I would just press the

Trouble with 5.2==>5.3 upgrade
I've updated two 5.2 systems without a hitch. But this third one is giving me some grief. See errors below. Googling for "Package does not match intended download" turns up a bunch of hits, but none of them (that I've seen) offers any working solution. Can someone suggest how to overcome the following error(s) Thanks a bunch! Downloading Packages: (1/1): kernel-2.6.18-128.

Xen on Centos 5.5 vs 5.3 and stability issues
I've recently upgraded a Centos 5.3 machine to Centos 5.5. The hardware isn't HVM capabile so I'm only running para-virt guests. Using a vanilla i386 kernel boots without, but the newer kernel-xen locks up the Dom0 after a couple of minute. I'm only booting into single user mode for these tests so no VMs are active. *kernel-xen-2.6.18-128.1.10.el5 - no issues

SELinux errors on my CentOS 5.3 (32 bit) Desktop after upgrade from 5.2
I am running SELinux in Permissive mode. GNOME and KDE are installed. Following the upgrade from CentOS 5.2 to 5.3 (32 bit) I am getting SELinux messages. Possibly of interest to someone here or upstream? (Since I'm using Permissive mode, this is not a problem for me). If these are known issues, please disregard. Messages follow: (1) SELinux is preventing nm-system-setti (system_dbusd_t)

can't "make"
Hello. I just fresh-installed 5.3 onto my laptop, and I have a problem trying to get wifi working. Be aware that I have 5.2 on it, and did the same process, and it worked great! I'm using http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Laptops/WirelessAR5007EG -- as I did for 5.2. The problem arises in section 6: [mpk at a3680 madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r3968-20090402]$ make /bin/sh: line 0: cd:

Removing old kernels
I have the following kernels on my /boot: 2.6.18-128.1.6 2.6.18-92.1.18 2.6.18-92.1.22 I'm low on /boot space and need to remove the oldest version. It appears that I cannot use yum to remove since all of the versions are the same (only the release is different). I believe that I can use rpm to remove the old version, but I also need to remove them from the grub.conf. Any other
