KPI Games
Knowledge Probe Inc. makes some very nice math and word puzzle games. These worked a while back in WINE but not recently. (A lot of that going around, even now going to beta!). I do not have their URL handy. They all fail with unregestered objects. Problematic in the past but not fatal was their trying to check for new games on line. I have never had such work with WINE.

nullfs changes MFC
Hi, I am going to merge latest batch of the nullfs improvements into stable/9. This will bring up significant performance enchancements due to use of the shared locks for lookups if the lower layer supports it, much better caching on the nullfs layer, and proper handling of the text segments on the nullfs. Also, it should improve the error recovery and some corner cases with locking.

7-STABLE, gjournal and fsck.
Hi, Recently I've decided to play with gjournal. Main reason was a promise of avoiding full fsck check after unclean shutdown. I've successfuly configured gjournal on existing filesystems (all UFS). And then it happened - my system had a power failure. After boot, it forced me to run fsck manualy. Nothing special, I did it before... But this time it failed on gjournaled disks.

mystery: lock up after fs dump
I wouldn't report this if not for one coincidence (which is described below). I have too little facts, so this is more of a mystery problem tale than a real problem report. There are two systems: 1. old, slow, i386, UP, 7-STABLE 2. new, fast, amd64, MP, 6.3-RELEASE Systems are located at different physical locations. What is common between them: 1. they both have the same backup strategy

gmirror+gjournal: unable to boot after crash
Hi, after one month with gmirror and gjournal running on a 7.0-RELEASE #p2 amd64 (built from latest CVS source), the box hung a couple of times when on high disk load. Finally, while building some port it won't boot for no reason obvious to me. This is what I get with kernel.geom.mirror.debug=2: ata2-master: pio=PIO4 wdma=WDMA2 udma=UDMA133 cable=40 wire ad4: 476940MB <SAMSUNG HD501LJ

Freebsd 7.0-RELEASE-p3 panics
Hello, I've been having spurrious crash troubles with this box a while now and I haven't been able to figure out why. I've ran a couple memtest passes on it and it didn't pick up anything. Here's a backtrace I've been able to obtain. The kernel config is at the end. It's the generic kernel with ULE. I'm following chapter 11 of the developers' handbook, so if

wpi driver freeze on boot
I've got a HP dv8000 laptop. Setting up the wpi driver for wireless freezes the system on boot with the following error: wpi0 requested unsupported memory range wpi0: could not allocate memory resource It lists a pcbi device (pcbi4 i think) and an actual memory range, but since I have to reboot using kernel.old the /var/run/dmesg.boot is wiped with the info. Is there anyway to grab the

stopping amd causes a freeze
Occasionally stopping amd freezes my system. It's a rare occurrence, and I haven't found a reliable way to reproduce it. It's also a real freeze, so there's no way to get into the debugger or grab a core dump. I only can perform the 4 seconds hard shutdown to revive the system. I run amd through sysutils/automounter, which is a scripting solution that generates an amd.map file
