Noob - port 3000 in URL''s - get rid of it?
Hi, total Noob here. I have a rails server set up and running. I''m working my way through the "agile" book. I see that all of the examples show URL''s that explicitly call for port 3000. How would one go about creating a ruby app that is engaged with a "normal" URL with no port number in it? That is apparently the default port for webrick to start up on

Gluster performance / Dell Idrac enterprise conflict
All volumes are configured as replica 3. I have no arbiter volumes. Storage hosts are for storage only and Virt hosts are dedicated Virt hosts. I've checked throughput from the Virt hosts to all 3 gluster hosts and am getting ~9Gb/s. On Tue, Feb 27, 2018 at 1:33 AM, Alex K <rightkicktech at gmail.com> wrote: > What is your gluster setup? Gluster performance / Dell Idrac enterprise conflict
What is your gluster setup? Please share volume details where vms ate stored. It could be that the slow host is having arbiter volume. Gluster performance / Dell Idrac enterprise conflict
I've tested about 12 different Dell servers. Ony a couple of them have Idrac express and all the others have Idrac Enterprise. All the boxes with Enterprise perform poorly and the couple that have express perform well. I use the disks in raid mode on all of them. I've tried a few non-Dell boxes and they all perform well even though some of them are very old. I've also tried

Gluster performance / Dell Idrac enterprise conflict
I would be really supprised if the problem was related to Idrac. The Idrac processor is a stand alone cpu with its own nic and runs independent of the main CPU. That being said it does have visibility into the whole system. try using dmidecode to compare the systems and take a close look at the raid controllers and what size and form of cache they have. Wine on MacBook - Linux and OS X problems
Hi all I've been having problems getting a particular game to work properly in Wine under OS X, and have been working on the assumption that it's a software problem with Wine. However, some testing I have done today is making me think it's a problem elsewhere, possibly something to do with graphics drivers. Here's the testing I have done: OS / Method / Wine Version / Outcome: OS

[LLVMdev] Develop on trunk.
I just finished up the first draft of the FAQ translated verbatim from HTML to Sphinx. Sphinx did puzzle me a few times but I got used to its approximate error messages and figured out what the problems were. Perhaps you could take a quick glance at this file and tell me if I am doing something wrong? Otherwise I'll send it off to llvm-commits and see what they say. Thanks, Mikael

Getting past my login system
Thank you in advance for your help. I am relatively new to both Rails and Rspec and I am hoping for some insight from some experienced veterans. Right now I am using Rspec for code that has already been written so that additional functionality can be developed using the BDD method. My problem shows up when I try to spec controllers that are behind the login system. Each page checks for the

Silly answers to silly questions for a silly Noob.
OK, I'm a noob to Wine. I've figured some stuff out with Wine and it sees everything I want it to see just fine. OK, I understand why you don't want Wine to see your windows install, but I put all my program installs on a separate partition. Now with this in mind can I just have Wine look at my Program Files and run my apps from there, or do I have to reinstall all the apps I want

Trouble running iTunes 10.5.2 in Wine under Ubuntu 11.10
I will start out by saying that I'm a noob. I have used ubuntu as a tool to partition and format hard drives a bunch of times, but recently installed it on a 7 year old laptop because windows is just too much for it nowadays. Anyway, I was curious if I could get iTunes to run. After a little research I installed wine and then iTunes. I was lucky that any of it worked. I don't know how to
