Configure LAGG Interface?
Greetings- I'd like to configure multiple copper NICs on a server running CentOS 6.2 in a LAGG configuration for better throughput to the core switch. After quite a bit of searching, I'm not seeing anything of the sort. Is LAGG specific to the BSD world and the HP switches I'm running? Or, does it go by a different name? Bonding perhaps? If so, is bonding compatible with LAGG? --Tim

qlogic qle2462 hba and freebsd stable on a dl360 g5
Hi. I'm looking at a qlogic qle2462 hba for my dl360 g5. The thread http://www.mail-archive.com/freebsd-stable@freebsd.org/msg99497.html mentions a deadlock when system is loaded. Has this issue been resolved? Are there other PCI Express hba's which are known to work with freebsd stable and dl360 g5? -- regards Claus When lenity and cruelty play for a kingdom, the gentler gamester is

Wait for network delay
I am running NUT as part of FreeNAS 9.2.0. I have looked through the manuals, but I don't see how to address my issue. The box has 4 NIC's in a LACP LAGG group. It takes a while for LACP to finish, and NUT tries to start before packets are flowing. NUT will complain endlessly about communication errors and never establish SNMP communication with my APC UPS. If I stop NUT and restart

anyone using pxelinux.0 > 3.36 successfully with HP DLXXX G3, G5?
Hello * this morning I tried to upgrade from pxelinux 3.11 to 3.84 and discovered that the localboot stuff does not work on HP DL360 G3 and G5. The latest syslinux Version I found with a working localboot is 3.36. pxelinux.cfg/default: default harddisk prompt 1 label harddisk localboot 0 implicit 0 timeout 250 This so simple, it should just work, shouldn't it? HP DL360 G5 better than HP DL360 G7 ?
Any tips on solving the following performance conundrum: Asterisk 1.8.12.2 running on HP DL360 G5 and G7s tcpdump running to capture UDP 5060/SIP signaling to .pcap files All calls are ultimately B2BUA client -> asterisk -> PSTN Media stays on Asterisk at all times AGI script has exit handler that connects and updates an external database upon BYE from either side. I know that if exit

[asterisk-bugs] Constant LAGGGED extensions
Doug, Look at the list. It seems you and Nitesh Divecha may be having the same problem. Maybe you guys can confirm that you have the same issue and figure out what is in common, such as Asterisk version or whatever. Thanks, Steve Doug Reid wrote: > Hi Steve > > I have tried a constant ping and get no problem on that. I assume that the > registration would use UPD and ping would

"ConnectTo" to two server for fault-tolerance
Hello, I tried to use two ?ConnectTo? entries in my config. If both servers are up, anything is working as expected. But if one of the two servers is offline or not reachable I will not get a connection at all. Not even to the reachable server. I would like to have it fault tolerant, is this possible? Thanks, best regards, -- Florian Lagg - Florian Lagg - IT-Komplettl?sungen

KVM - Network bridge issue - lots of overruns
Hi everybody I've a very big network problem with some server running CentOS with KVM and some linux-like VMs on the top of it. The vm's network is bridged with a physical dedicate NIC (an Intel PRO/1000) with 2.4.14-NAPI driver (but the problem persists with various versions of the driver) and the CentOS version is 6.4 (same problem with a 5.7 sever) with all the last updates.

my domUs have a slow network rate for outside networks.
Hi, I have some network problems with my DomUs (etch) on a debian etch running xen 3.0.3. The domain0 is a DL360 G5 with tg3 network card If i download something from outside my dom0 box to a domU, i get this network rate: ~865kbits ... and it must be ~ 10Mbits, i think. Doing some tests with iperf i get this: [ 4] local outside_server port 5001 connected with _domU_ port 54889 [ 4]

bce kernel page faults and NMIs (was: Strange reboot since 9.1)
Howdy folks, this email is a follow-on to a 3-month-old thread about kernel page faults from the bce driver[0]. 0: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-stable/2013-March/072713.html Sorry to revive such an old thread, but a couple of bits of new information has come to light here that may be useful for others. The header splitting suggestion that Marius Strobl made[1] did fix the kernel

bce reporting fantom input errors?
Hi, After changing cables, switches, ports, I came to the conclusion that bce is reporting input errors that are not there, or creating them. I checked this with 3 different boxes, all Dell-2950/Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM5708 1000Base-T (B2), and one of them, while running Solaris, reported 0 errors after a week, and freebsd after a few minutes its count was > 100. The errors appear under

bce and "Warning: bootcode thinks driver is absent."
Recently under amd64 and 9.1-STABLE I am seeing issues with the bce driver. Message is "Warning: bootcode thinks driver is absent". After this message, the box appears to be wedged. After rebooting, it got the same message during fsck. So we installed 9.2 pre-release using a snapshot iso from 7/13/13. Shortly after boot we got the same message. We are now in the process of

Odd issue with VirtualBox+9-STABLE+bce ...
I'm experiencing some odd issues with Virtualbox running on 9-STABLE. where my network periodically disappears ? sometimes, it comes back again after a few minutes, other times I have to reboot the server ? This last time, the error on the screen states: bce1: bce_pulse(): Warning: boot code thinks driver is absent! (bc_state = 0x00004006) I had 20 regular 'jail' VPSs running on it

Tripplite SNMPwebcard communication lost and established randomly
I missed that snmp-ups set pollfreq to 30 by default. I'd hope that it would set deadtime to an appropriate value as well than, no? Is there a way to query what the settings are or what the defaults are? I'm going to set POLLFREQ=30 and DEADTIME = 90 and see if that has any effect. I'll check for the logs. And if that doesn't get my anywhere I'll look at trying to simulate
