Re: Diablo II LoD Crushed to go to Act 2!
I don't know what video card you have, but you may want to try running Diablo II in Glide mode, using the Glide-to-OpenGL wrapper:
http://www.svenswrapper.de/english/index.html
Place the contents of the wrapper into the Diablo II folder. With Wine run the "glide-init.exe" and you can try a test of the wrapper there. If all is well, run the Diablo II Video Test and Glide mode

dddraw unable to draw in CVS
Hi,
I often build wine every 2 or 3 days from cvs source, and I recognize
that there are updates around x11drv, ddraws, and d3d8/9 at these days.
4 or 5 days ago, where I found that ddraws are unable to draw at all
(was still working wine 0.9.15) in some games/programs which use it.
Ones use GDI and OpenGL seem fine. Here is an example of win32 binary
which is Snes9x, an emulator of a console,

I'm on Ubuntu 10.04 and using wine 1.1.42 via playonlinux. I have tried installing Diablo 2 LOD straight from the cds several times now and each time it would not let me auto patch so I figured I would try to play it unpatched and when I try to it freezes between the blizzard north and main screen...if I alt tab a few times it will eventually show the main screen but I can't click on

Re: Diablo II LOD with Patch 1.13c no sound problem ubuntu 10.04
Hi, I had exactly the same problem and managed to solve it.
The solution that worked for me was very simple : in the "audio" tab of wine config dialog, I changed direct sound acceleration from "complete" to "emulation" and... Miracle ! IT WORKED !!! :D
Hope that'll work for you too.

Problems with Direct Rendering (D3D) in Wine
Hello,
my name is Gregor Galwas, I am new to this group / mailing list.
I have a problem since I started using Wine.
As far as I remember every game that uses D3D with wine doesn't work
properly, doesn't work or work very very slow.
My problem appears no matter of wine version, (current) gfx-driver or
kernel-version.
For example I would like to point to Diablo2. It works nicely when I

It's not usually useful, but it shouldn't be an error; please file.

[LLVMdev] VMkit AOT build problem: llc crushed on glibj compilation to native(.s) file
Well, I think there is a bug in vmkit for always trying to do pointer
arithmetic using i32 instead of the target's pointer size, which is
what my patch addressed.
As for whether there is a bug in LLVM, I'm not sure. I've played
around with it some more, and it looks like zext expressions get
constant folded before reaching LowerConstant. The only way I've
triggered the

Hello, I was just so happy to have Diablo2 LoD in a 800x600 window under
KDE 2.2.1 runing. It's quite smoth and even BNet connection on our privat
Linux BNETD Server works. So just everything works fine (aint got sound,
but I don't care), except for the whole keyboard, no input possibel. What's
wrong with my Wine instalation? The debug output tells me about a language
problem and

[LLVMdev] VMkit AOT build problem: llc crushed on glibj compilation to native(.s) file
Hi,
Trying to build AOT version of vmkit java,
building for that classpath glibj.zip:
$ cd vmkit/tools/vmjc/libvmjc
$ make ENABLE_OPTIMIZED=1 DISABLE_ASSERTIONS=1 REQUIRES_FRAME_POINTER=1
has eventually, after 50 minutes, brought:
<<<

llvm[0]: Optimizing glibj.zip
llvm[0]: Compiling glibj.zip.bc to native
UNREACHABLE executed!

Hi Allan,
Thanks for the fix! So is this a bug in LLVM? Can you reduce that to a small
test case and file a bug?

[PATCH] nv50: enable texture query lod
Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu>
---
Note: this applies on top of airlied's r600g-texture-gather branch.
Appears to pass all 4 piglit tests. The conversion from what the instruction
outputs is the same as what the blob does.

Europa Universalis 2 crash (Ubuntu 8.04 Wine 1.1.10)
According to the AppDB EU2 1.09 has a platinum rating, but it's constantly crashing on me. I installed the game from the CD, updated to the latest version (1.09), and the game launches just fine. When it gets into the menu I notice that it's running a lot slower than it should be. I can start a single player game and it still runs slow, and then crashes. It doesn't matter what I do in

Guest Account causing lod.winbindd messages
RedHAt 8,0 samba 2.2.7-2 from redhat rpms. This box is a file server
for approximately 45 XP clients and is fairly active. Windbind is used
to authenticate users from the pdc for the domain DOMAIN and works
swimmingly. Beats the pants off the NT4 box tht it replaced two weeks
ago.
More of an irritation than anything, but the winbindd log is filling
with messages like this:
