Hey Austin, I am having problem with Quicken 2008 as well. It installs properly. It even runs. However, after selecting a data file, Quicken immediately closes, all trace of it gone. Ideas?

Is anyone successfully using Quicken??? I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 and Wine version 1.1.12. I have the program installed and many parts of it work. It fails at the program registration screen. [/img]

Hello, I am running Ubuntu 8.04. off of an external HD. in the File Browser, Ubuntu sees the internal HD, and I can navigate to the Quicken executable. I installed wine and went into Configure it and clicked Add Application. I can see the Program Files folder, but when I go into it, all I can see is the Common Files and Internet Explorer folders. Why can't I see executables? How can I try

Will give it a try. However the winetricks did allow that part of the program to run. It now freezes at the point you try to register the program. It would not respect the wine internet explorer, so i used winetricks to do the fake, then to actually install ie6. Ie6 is missing the menu bar. I'm new to Ubuntu and Wine. I've installed Wine (x.x.29) on Ubuntu 9.04, then installed Quicken Deluxe 2009. It seems to work fine but when I attempt to register Quicken I get a page of garbage. Of course Intuit Support is worthless. Somebody out there must work around this problem.

I have been running Quicken 2009 for over a year successfully and the appDB shows Quicken 2011 works well. Because of Quicken's support policy, I am forced to upgrade to Quicken 2012. quicken 2008 deluxe Release9 running on Ubuntu I was able to install the application and run it upto the point that one either creates accounts or loads a previously created data file (in windows). At that point, the entire application disappears and one is back to the Ubuntu desktop.

Is there a way to access a folder on my NTFS partition? I have a dual-boot system and the Quicken data files reside on the NTFS partition. From Wine Configuration > Drives, I see no listing for the Windows partition even though the media is mounted on my Desktop. Thanks, Blair
