Macromedia FreeHand MX on Wine, doesn't create new document
Hello. I have installed Macromedia FreeHand MX under Wine 1.1.1 on Arch Linux. It installs OK, but I can't create a new document. When I go on File => New it gives an error ("Could not complete your request because an error occurred") and then Wine dies with a segmentation fault. Final words from Wine before dying: [22:39:44] [renan at sanctuary:~/.wine/drive_c/Arquivos de

Macromedia Flash MX 2004
Greetings! There are no flash editors for linux. I mean at all! That's horrible. But I think that's the reason for using a combination of Subj+wine. And I think there should be some FAQ or other type of help on this topic. Could anybody point to such a help source for me? Or maybe you could help me to resolve the source of such an error: fixme:ntdll:NtQueryInformationProcess

How can I run an already installed Flash MX 2004 (on an /NTFS partition)?
First I tried wine from the Debian unstable repository. It didn't work for installing Flash MX 2004. Then I was given advice and I tried the latest version so grabbed and installed the .deb package from the winehq repository (Wine 20050111) Yes, I also tried to install DCOM98.EXE by following the instructions from http://navi.cx/svn/misc/trunk/winekb/NativeDCOM.xml but it also had some

Unable to rename Macromedia icons using kde menu editor
I'm unable to edit the file names for about three Macromedia programs using the kde menu editor. When using the editor it says the program titles have been renamed but once I leave the editor the name is unedited again. I also can't change the icons for these programs.

Icecast in Macromedia Flash
No audio with IE 5.5 SP2 on Windows 2k. Sorry for the bad news. But why? Maybe it's a cross-site-error so that IE blocks access to a different server for security-reasons? Could you please put the player under the web-root of your icecast2-server and give us the links? Maybe that helps - cause then the audio is coming from the same URL. <p>Regards, Stefan On 4 Dec 2003 at 20:23,

Vorbis in Macromedia Flash (was Icecast in...)
Hi Jack, It's a good idea. I am going to email macromedia to ask support for ogg in Flash. Anyway, it is impossible it would be available before end of 2004 because the brand new Flash 2004 was just released. Macromedia Dreamweaver MX
Hi, I hope this is the correct mailing list to send to. Basically I have just put in a full Linux computer suite in the school I work at. The problem is they need the Macromedia Suite for their 6th form students. As I couldn't get MX2004 to work at all I have 'downgraded' to MX. Fireworks, Freehand and Flash MX all work perfectly! But... Dreamweaver does not. What happens is I run

[REQUIREMENTS] Macromedia Flash View for Rails Controller
Hi I know there is no real requirements tag but I was unsure what to label this message, please don''t flame me :-). I am using the Javascript Integration Kit with Macromedia Flash to make a local connection to the rendered Rails view. I am then using Flash to render my page components (sort of like you do with Lazlo or Flex etc.) though Javascript acts as a proxy for me. Ideally I would

Icecast in Macromedia Flash
Hi Assorgia, Thanks for the network dumps. As you say, it's weird because Flash, even when embedded, can access the stream of Icecast2. I already noticed it by analyzing Icecast2's logs as I wrote in the first message of this topic. There is something I couldn't see in the network dumps: is the embedded flash DOWNLOADING the stream even if it doesn't play it (with Icecast2)? I

Icecast in Macromedia Flash
Ciao Assorgia, Anch'io sono felice che cè un'altra persona che cerca di importare uno stream di Icecast nel Flash! Just one easy question (I'm speaking English for the list), is there a real quality of sound difference between Icecast1 and 2? Is Icecast2 really more reliable? Can you provide a link to your webradio, I'd be glad to listen to it. Grazie, MAX -----Original

Icecast in Macromedia Flash
Hi Stephan, Thanks for reporting. Now we know it doesn't work on IE 5.5/Windows (but it works on IE5.2 on MAC). You had nice idea to store the file on the icecast2 root. Unfortunately, I already tried it few days ago and it didn't work either... Icecast in Macromedia Flash
Hi, Is there anybody running Internet Explorer 5 on Windows? Since v5 works on MAC but v6 doesn't work on Windows, it would be very useful to know if the flash player works with Internet Explorer 5 on Windows.
