Enabling bitcode for iOS
Hi,
What is the proper way of enabling bitcode on iOS platform?
I pass -fembed-bitcode in CFLAGS but it looks like it does not work on assembly files.
Thanks,
Pavel

BSD-licensed IDS/IDP Software?
I seem to remember seeing somewhere (on this list/on the web -- don't
remember) that there was some ``Snort-like'' software that was available under
the BSD license. Unfortunately, I'm unable to find any information about such
software. Was I dreaming, or can anybody else jog my memory? :)
Kind regards,

Trouble running iTunes 10.5.2 in Wine under Ubuntu 11.10
I will start out by saying that I'm a noob. I have used ubuntu as a tool to partition and format hard drives a bunch of times, but recently installed it on a 7 year old laptop because windows is just too much for it nowadays.
Anyway, I was curious if I could get iTunes to run. After a little research I installed wine and then iTunes. I was lucky that any of it worked. I don't know how to

Hello
I found that in this version, in the access log, the source log lines are wrong.
The number of bytes transfered for the source is always 19 bytes...

fallback source give up and returns to original source
I forgot to mention that the patched version seams to work fine, except that one of the listener (curl | oggdec | ices)
don't like the source content change. I have to search for that.

Plot symbols: How to plot (and save) a graphic symbols originating from a table
Dear all,
Please, I have a doubt regarding symbol plotting
with data originating from a table.
Please, see below:
I have a tab delimited file called table1.txt with 4 columns:
ypos animal var1 var2
5 cat gina <= lady gina ≤ lady
7 dog bill >= tony bill ≥ tony
9 fish dude <= bro dude ≤ bro
#I then load in the data to R:

Video capture under CentOS
I recently purchased a Diamond VC500 video capture device that runs on
the USB. It has some interesting issues under Windoze, but I was
wondering:
I did a google for video catpreu and linux and most of what I found
either said it can't be done or the software that did/does it is
obsolete.
Can anyone point me in a better direction (and which way)?
Thanks.

Audio/video recording software
Hi everyone! :-)
I am supposed to get (for the first time) into the world of making youtube
clips. I have a webcam, a microphone and a big hard drive configured and ready.
The question is: what would you suggest as an easy-to-use yum-installable app
that could handle a couple of minutes/hours of recording?
People who are about to use it are complete noobs, and I would like to give

Streaming video with Centos 5.2...how to?
Hello all,
I am a noob to streaming video, and I have a file I'd like to stream (a
.wmv file...sorry. ;-) ). In any case, how can I do this on my website
using Centos 5.2 and Apache 2.2.8, rather than making people download a
20 MB video? Can someone point me to some URL's and some software?
Thanks for any help, I greatly appreciate it!

please recommend hands-on books on classification, data-mining and machine learning with R?
Hi all,
Could anybody please recommend some hands-on books on classification,
data-mining and machine learning with R? I would like to get a very
good understanding of the statistical tools that are used in these
areas, while reducing the learning curve.
Thank you!

CentOS 6.3 on ASUS G73S does not work external video
Hi List,
just wondering which driver I need to be looking at / for that deals
with the laptop's external video connector.
Background - went to deliver a presentation last week and found that
there was no way to get any video output to the external D-15 connector
(hooked up to a video projector).
Eventually I re-booted to windoze 7 and all worked just fine - major
embarrassment after
