Wine compilation problem.
Hi. I was trying to compile Wine 1.1.11 (because 1.1.12 appears to have a problem running InstallShield installers) from source on Sun Solaris 10 UNIX, and after I run configure, I get this: "configure: libXxf86vm development files not found, XFree86 Vidmode won't be supported. configure: libxrandr development files not found, XRandr won't be supported. configure: libxcomposite

Audio problem.
Hi. I've noticed audio problems when using Wine on Sun's Solaris 10 UNIX system. When I go to run a program that uses audio, like a game, it seems not to be synchronized properly and skips some. What's up with that, anyway? I noticed some messages about not being able to find "SUNW,oss" and also this, if it has any relevancy: "fixme:mpeg3:mp3_horse Error occurred

Running application gives EAccessViolation in module
I'm running a private Windows executable that I know to have been created in Delphi (if that means anything). It's something my company developed. I've now started taking to running on Linux at home and thought rather than having to boot into Windows to do work that I might try to run some of these things under Wine. When I run the executable with Wine, I get: Exception

opengl32.dll problem running WoW.exe after new graphics card
Running Ubuntu 7.10 64bit, had World of Warcraft running fine under Wine with OpenGL, then my graphics card ate itself (Nvidia 7900GTX). Bought a new one (Nvidia 8800GT), but I had to monkey with the system in order to get the 8800GT to work. I'm pretty sure I messed something up trying to get the 8800GT to work as I had to remove the restricted drivers module. Now when I try to run WoW.exe

running program with .exe that does not need being installed
Hi I'm trying to run a program called GAUSS. Under windows, I just needed to launch the .exe even without installing it, (there is no setup.exe). That means I can just have the file containing different .exe/.dll and so on a usb key and it runs. I tried with wine (1.1.23 with ubuntu 8.04), putting it in: > /home/user/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/ then cd to it and launch: Code: wine

Bad display glitches with Ultima Online

SuperMemo 2006 Crashes at Startup
Hopefully someone can help me debug this. I run this package on XP, trying to get to work on Ubuntu Heron using wine 1.0-rc4. I have tried launching this program under XP, 2000, ME, and 98 without success under wine.
