Installing Wine for Debian Squeeze
Hi, I tried to install Wine following this instruction: http://www.winehq.org/download/deblenny, method 1. These instructions are in German. This gives me access to Wine 1.1.42 in 32-bit. According to the WineHQ homepage, 1.2 is the last stable. My system is 64-bit. I should be able to select between 1.2 and 1.3. So my guess is that this instruction is outdated, that that repository is not

Installing latest Wine on Debian
I installed Wine using the Lamaresh repo for Debian, but unlike openSUSE's repos, I found out that it installs and old version: 1.1.42. Is there some repo for Debian where I can install latest version from? Or should I better try building it from source? Sorry if it's a silly question. Thanks.

New Ubuntu Breezy and Dapper APT repository - stop using sourceforge!
Greetings folks, Since the sourceforge apt repository is woefully limited to just one distribution version, and because it is exceedingly slow and times out a lot, budgetdedicated.com has graciously donated us a blazing fast server to host the fresh Ubuntu packages. To use the APT repository, simply edit 'sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list' and then add the following lines, depending on

http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt does a 404 error
Well I'm new here, so first, hi all there ^^. I'm here because initially when I tried to install the latest wine version on Ubuntu 9.04, I was following the instructions and I saw a 404 error. I saw also a lot of post relating 404 errors, but they were user-side errors. So I checked it myself, and I saw that putting http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt on the browser bar makes it give a

Thanks, -- Mathieu

adding winehq to apt repository
The instructions use the character O or is it 0, you cannot tell by looking at the screen or a printout. Another ambiguity is the command (s?): sudo wget http://wine.budgetdedicated.......... /etc/apt/sources.list.d/winehq.list Is this one long command continued on two lines, or is it two commands? I am not in the sudo list on my stock debian/etch installation, and do not wish to take three

New .deb APT repository for Ubuntu users that doesn't time out
Greetings folks. I've gotten a new APT repository for my Ubuntu packages set up, courtesy of Budget Dedicated - http://www.budgetdedicated.com/ The server is super fast and won't time out on you like Sourceforge does, so remove the sourceforge lines from your /etc/apt/sources.list and instead replace them with these: deb http://wine.lowvoice.nl/apt breezy main deb-src

But in addition right now, an 'apt-get update' fails
