Resolving dependencies from the command-line
CenOS 5.4 x64 I'm stuck at the command-line. I'm only familiar with the RPM command, but AFAIK, that cannot automatically resolve any dependencies when installing packages. Is there a command-line utility that I can force to automatically install all the dependencies for a particular package? Installing wine rpm - failed dependencies??
I am running SuSE 8.0 (waiting for 9.2). I have a windows application I wanted to run using wine. It ran fairly well then locked up on the old wine release that came with SuSE 8.0. Thought I should get the latest wine so downloaded the current wine for Suse 8.0 from winehq.com. I first ran Yast and removed the presently installed wine. I put the new rpm in /root and logged in as root then

CentOS-5 - kmod-gfs dependency issue?
Hi all, I'm wondering if I'm running into some dependency issues on my CentOS5 test-machines. I've installed with a fairly minimal package set, updated, removed old kernels and am now experimenting with iscsi and gfs. I think I need kmod-gfs to get gfs -support, but there is only a version that suits the base-kernel, 2.6.18-8.el5. " [root at node02 ~]# yum install kmod-gfs
