ubuntu 8.1 Nvidia 9600GT. Installed BF2 with no problems. Im trying to run homeworld cataclysm, but im having 2 issues with it. 1. I cannot set it to my computers resolution. It only goes to 1280x1024. I need to set it to 1680x1050, however i cannot set this in game. What to do? 2. the game seems to run a littly chopily. Is there anything i should enable in wine to make it better ? And if so where? I seem to be able to run a video game in 1024x867 (what ever it is) as a window, by selecting the window mode button in the game. However, i can not run the game in window mode with a resolution set about 1024x867. What is going on? I am assuming i am missing something in wine or the game that does not allow the video game to be run in any resolution greater than 1024x867 in window mode.

I think I may have updated the tv firmware between when it worked and when it didn't. I wonder it it has to do with bit depth. I use lubuntu and it doesn't let me pick the bit depth so I don't know what it using.

Hello, I installed Stronghold Kingdoms from Steam in my main wine prefix, I had to install dotnet20 via winetricks for it to run, after letting it update it just keeps looping over & over with a window that says "Checking for updates." it closes quickly then loops. Has anyone managed to get Stronghold 2 working with wine post 1.0? I'm sure I've managed to play it before on earlier versions of wine but I have tried with version 1.01 and 1.1.18 but can't play it.
