Hi, I do the networking for a smallish medical clinic here. They have decided to go with the Misys MyWay Electronic Medical Records system. The engineers from Mysis about freaked out when the found out that I'm running Samba on OpenBSD, and had all kinds of issues they were worried about--whether their Windows Server 2003 system with Active Domain would integrate with Samba was the

[LLVMdev] LLVM on Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11
Looks like I was a little too ambitious in getting version LLVM-2.5 to build on Mac OS X Tiger which uses gcc 4.0.1. LLVM -2.2 built fine. I did get the LLVM-2.5 tree to build but it was the gcc front-end part of it that failed. If anyone has built the both parts of version 2.5 on Tiger please let me know. Thanks, Bijoy. rsync, mac OSX tiger, and UFS
Hi, I'd like to make a "feature request" for users of rsync on Mac OSX Tiger (10.4) Given the current sorry state of backup tools on Mac OSX, the only way I've found to reliably backup data from Mac OSX is to keep the data on a UFS volume, and to then backup it up using *standard* rsync (no -E) to a Unix file server. This way, all the the "apple double" are

Hi, Before I go any further about OSX creation dates etc. I just discovered that the pre5 release doesn't work on OSX Tiger. I got this message in the rsync progress: dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libiconv.2.dylib Reason: Incompatible library version: rsync requires version 7.0.0 or later, but libiconv.2.dylib provides version 5.0.0 Is there any way around this? How to run Rcmdr in Mac Os X Tiger?
This question might been asked previously (I googled), but I can't find a workable solution in the archives. My question is: how to run Rcdmr in Mac Os X? Tiger team.
Hi, I''m back. :-) Alex and a few others have expressed concerns about the legal implications of forming a tiger team. Maybe the term "tiger team" doesn''t officially represent what we meant. But I don''t mind redefining established terms if I feel like it :-) What we here call a "tiger team" is a team of people that try to beat the bad guys to

[LLVMdev] LLVM on Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11
Hello, I apologize if this has been covered before but has anyone successfully built llvm on Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.11)? I upgraded to Xcode 2.4.1 and got the binaries for the llvm-gcc frontend and the source for llvm. I built llvm but realized that the frontend binaries required libiconv version 7.0.0. but the version on Tiger is 5.0.0. Trying to build the frontend from source gives me a bunch

Forming a Linux tiger team.
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- In a recent message on this list someone proposed the idea of forming a linux tiger team. I am interested in forming a team like this. Are there any other interested people? [mod: "someone" is Eric Allman. He was talking about a sendmail-tiger-team, but as we are on the linux-security list right now, a linux-tiger-team is the obvious move.... Michael
