Zoom....
Hi, folks,
Updated CentOS 7 the other day. Updated zoom last night. Ancient (15
yr old) USB camera, Logitech QuickCam Express.
If I run LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l2convert.so cheese, I get
video. Zoom, with or without the LD_PRELOAD - no video. I've tried
stracing zoom, and created a file /etc/ld.so.preload, with the contents
of /usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l2convert.so, and in

No, preloading just makes the first login faster.

Ok... digging still more into this problem that I'm *still* fighting,
using mplayer and a higher debug level, what I *think* the significant
message is (this is just one example line):
libv4lconvert: Error decompressing JPEG: fill_nbits error: need 5 more bits
fps = 15.626953, interval = 0.096001, a_skew = 0.000000, corr_skew = 0.000000
vcnt = 1, acnt = 0
Which seems to indicate that for some

Preloading shared library with libVirt
Hi,
I am trying to preload two shared libraries while running Qemu using
libvirt. To preload the shared libraries I have added an environment
variable in the $domain.xml file with the following command:
```
virt-xml generic --edit --confirm --qemu-commandline
Failed to load wine, winecfg, wineconsole, etc.
Hopefully somebody has info on this topic.
I have just installed Wine on OpenSuse 11.1. I've tried to install MSOffice 2003 but when double clicking on setup.exe nothing happens. I also tried by typping "wine /media/MSOfficeCD/setup.exe" but I get this error
X Error of failed request: XF86VidModeExtensionDisabled
Major opcode of failed request: 135 (XFree86-VidModeExtension)
libv4l question
Hi all,
Hey I'm trying to do some web cam stuff, and I found this link:
http://freshmeat.net/projects/libv4l/releases/333037
I was doing the "rpm -qa | grep v4l" and nothing comes up,
I did "ls path_to_centos/RPMS/* | grep v4l " and nothing comes up,
I did 'yum provides "*/libv4l*"' and nothing comes up.
Is the CentOS library for v4l named something
Should Samba-tool RODC preload be run periodically?
Hello Andrew,
thank you for the answer.
1) User credentials need to be preloaded with samba-tool to be
automatically replicated later if they change, its correct?
2) And if user try to login on RODC without preloaded credentials, this
credentials will not be cached? (as described in samba wiki)
We using Samba 4.7.3 for RODC.
Thanks
Should Samba-tool RODC preload be run periodically?
Hello list,
I run “samba-tool rodc preload” for multiple users. If one of this users change his password, should I repeat the preload call? (I suppose yes, I need to rerun)
If I need to rerun samba-tool, can user login with his old password till its expire? (I suppose yes?)
Thank you.
RODC User preload fails
Hi,
I installed a RODC on my mailserver to have a local authentication for
mailusers on the machine which doesn't rely on a always-on-connetion to
the office.
The problem is now that the user-preload doesn't work so that the RODC
is not able to authenticate the users itself:
samba-tool rodc preload <user> --server <DC1> -U Administrator
Password for [AD\Administrator]:
getting device to boot from thumb drive
I have created a custom kernel as I needed to add floating point
I used the command below to create my initrd:
preload test data from factory_girl
Is there a way to preload common data made by factory_girl to speed up
tests instead of recreating these common data at the beginning of
every test. For example, I want to have 10 users premade at the
beginning of every test.
I found this http://agilewebdevelopment.com/plugins/factory_data_preloader
But the page says that this plugin does not "play nice" with
autotest. But I use
RODC between samba v4 servers
I'm preparing a lab to test the scenario in which a remote office uses a
RODC to cache all users/computers/GPOs from a DC.
I've set up a environment with all requirements (two subnets, one with a DC
and the other with a RODC).
I've joined the domain with a windows machine to the RODC subnet with both
DCs being up.
Using the windows tools (DSA), I've placed a user account and the
rodc and KRB_TGS_REQ forwarding to RWDC to access hub ressources
Hi everyone,
I would like to have some input on ressources access from a workstation
logged on a RODC server that has to connect on hub site servers.
After login in the remote windows workstation, I have LOGONSERVER
environment variable set to the local RODC server (workstation and user
credentials have been preloaded). Everything works fine on local server.
However if I want to connect to
