wine over ssh
Hi all,
I am running wine over ssh (with X forwarding) and I have a problem getting back into the shell after executing an app using wine.
Here's what I am doing:
ssh -X myhost 'wine notepad'
The concern is that I can get back to my shell only after I exit the notepad application. I tried appending an '&' at the end and that did'nt help.
Any help is appreciated.

Unablce to open VNC
I have vnc working on my server when I am logged into that server. If I
run vncviewer, I have a copy of the Desktop. Hwever, if I SSH into the
server, I get an error. Due to my lack of experience, I am not sure
what the log file means:
http://209.204.172.137/misc/vnc_error.txt
Could someone tell me what I am missing?

SSH + VNC
I am trying to log into a desktop that is running CentOS 4.2 by
tennelling VNC through SSH..
The desktop auto-logins a user, then sits there waiting for me to login.
On the client side, I fire up SSH tunneling
ssh -L 8000:127.0.0.1:5900
The client spits back the error
vncviewer: ConnectToTcpAddr: connect: Connection refused
Unable to connect to VNC server
The server says

Automatic vncviewer startup
Hello,
is there a way to start automatically the vncviewer when a domU starts?
When I was using the xm toolstack I could use "xm create domain.cfg -vncviewer"
or something similar (if I''m not wrong), but I don''t know how to do it with the
xl toolstack. At the moment, I have to create the domain using
xl create domU.cfg, then xl list to see the domU id and then xl

Vncserver not serving up my gnome desktop, just a fancy terminal!
I have the vncserver running on CentOS 4, but when I log in
using vncviewer from another box, I don't see my gnome
desktop, just a fancy terminal. I suspect I need to edit
the ~/.vnc "xstartup file, but what do I add to fix this.
On all other distros I have tried, the vncserver serves up
my gnome desktop by default.

Is the VNC setting available for non-hvm DomU''s?
I have been scouring this list''s archives and have consumed any and all
how-to guides I could find but am still unsure. All discussion in this
list on this issue is around hvm/vti DomU''s. Has anyone been able to
attach a vnc client to a vanilla (non-hvm) DomU using the VNC console
setting?
On an FC5 (2.6.16-1.2080_FC5xen0) kernel deployed on vanilla (non-hvm)

BSD domU with HVM
Hi all!
I have recently purchased an Athlon X2 3800+ and I should like to
install FreeBSD or OpenBSD in a HVM domU on Xen 3.0.3-1 dom0 (Debian
packages). Is it possible? In such case, can someone recommend me a
guide/howto to accomplish it?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Daniel

[LLVMdev] LLVM built on VS C++ 2005
I'm afraid that still does not completely answer the question. I'll
accept that it will work for C programs, given what you quote. It says
nothing about C++ however. That's a different animal entirely. g++
mangles names in a completely different fashion than VC++. Does mingw
use VC++ style mangling? g++ processes exceptions in a completely
different fashion than VC++. I

vncviwer in listen mode poer number
I am working on the Centos wiki instructions for doing an install via vnc:
http://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/VncHeadlessInstall
CD is all burned and ready to go. I then thought about the viewer
settings particularly the port number and firewall rules.
When I connect vncviewer to a vncserver it uses port(s) 590n where n is
the display number. OK, is that what happens when a server connects

[LLVMdev] LLVM built on VS C++ 2005
I'm not sure you understand the problem. Are you saying that a file
compiled with mingw can catch an exception thrown by a file compiled
with VC++ when the two are linked into a single program? That a program
compiled with mingw can be linked against the VC++ runtime and *not* the
mingw/gcc runtime?
Linking against system DLLs is very different from what I'm talking about.
