NT_STATUS_INVALID_HANDLE with wbinfo -a
I've been stuck on this one for days and can't seem to find anything referencing the same problem; help would be greatly appreciated. I have a functioning Samba 3.5.4-63 installation acting as a PDC - users can log in from Windows 7 machines without problems etc. etc. The issue is with using wbinfo -a to authenticate users (without going into too much detail, I'm trying to use the

Modify but not create permissions
I am still trying to figure out why samba wont let me create in subdirectories I've tripple checked everything and a few things leapt out at me. *) I can modify a file inside a directory that I cannot create a file in. I did not know it was possible under linux to do that. *) If I set all perms on 777 I can create. But neither 775 or 755 will allow it. *) When I go into a mount

Wrapping a Windows DLL
Hi, maybe this is a common question, in which case I would be very glad for a few pointers to corresponding information. Here is what I am hoping to achieve: A device (a DSLR, but that should not really matter) can be controlled by the computer via USB. The manufacturer provides an SDK and a couple of DLLs, but no USB documentation and certainly no source. It's using the SDK or

Generating a custom opcode from an LLVM intrinsic
ASM is the text output you want printed in a textual listing of the assembly. The curly braces you see in some text strings like "adcx{l}\t{$src, $dst|$dst, $src}" are there to provide different operand orders for at&t syntax vs intel syntax. Anything after $ matches the name in the outs/in part of the instruction. IIC_SSE_PREFETCH is part of the scheduler system to provide

Generating a custom opcode from an LLVM intrinsic
Craig, thanks for the quick response. That helps a lot. I had no clue they were buried in there, though I guess I should have looked harder -- the hex should have given me a clue, perhaps! For the sake of my own edification (and not taking up too much of your time) I will try to generate it myself. I've found the definition of the "I" class at line 358 of

Generating a custom opcode from an LLVM intrinsic
Great info -- all of this has been incredibly useful. Do you have any links to the documentation from this, or does it just come from your experiential knowledge? FYI, I achieved what I set out to achieve when I wrote this email. I'm moving on to a more complex goal now, but the original question was answered completely, in my opinion. This was the key line: def CACHEOP : I<0x06, RawFrm,

Page fault in winecfg
UBUNTU 10.10 x86_64 with wine 1.3.10 I called winecfg, got the gui and set the decor to win7. Clicked on Apply and started moving through the tabs to check. When I clicked on the graphics tab I got this page fault. Here is my complete console log. john at john-GA-MA78LM-S2H:~$ mv .wine .wine.prod john at john-GA-MA78LM-S2H:~$ wine winecfg wine: created the configuration directory

wine can not find registry key(s)
Hello list, I am trying to get "Allplan 2005" working. But during startup it exits with an error message like "can not open registry key \\Software\foo \bar" But according to regedit the keys do exist. I have exported them under Windows XP, and saved them as plantextfile somehow, and then imported them with wine's regedit. Here is some (hopefully relevant) debug output

WoW under wine and winecfg segfault
I am using wine actually only to play WoW on Gentoo Linux. On my desktop PC that works, but on my laptop the program crashes. This appears to be a fault in wine, because I cannot even use winecfg - it segfaults immediately: Code: $ winecfg wine: created the configuration directory '/home/helge/.wine' err:process:__wine_kernel_init boot event wait timed out Segmentation fault I tried

Corrupted files with applications using Samba/NetaTalk-Server
Hi all, I´ve read some mailings regarding corrupted files with application using a Samba-Box as a File-Server. We´ve the same problem with SolidWorks (a CAD-System) under NT4.0 Client and FreeHand under MacOS (using NetaTalk). I´ve installed Samba 2.0.3 from SuSE 6.1. The solutions I read were: 1. upgrade Samba to at least 2.0.5 2. switch off the NT-registrykey for fs-caching Does anybody
