interpretation of stress in NMDS
Among those users of Primer, stress values greater than 0.3 are interpreted as "questionable". Using both isoMDS and metaMDS (vegan package), the stress values returned are much higher using my own data and using examples provided in R Help. For example Rstress = 8.3, and the stressplot r2 = 0.99 indicating (to me) that the ordination is OK. I am guessing that the "stress"

Strange connection to the outside...
Hi all, for some strange reason, our still-under-test Asterisk deployment wants to contact the outside world and that raised some eyebrows here... Just a sample of our firewall log: -- ...a=DROPIN=eth0 OUT=eth2 SRC=192.168.36.199 DST=195.77.113.194 LEN=476 TOS=0x10 PREC=0x00 TTL=62 ID=39572 DF PROTO=UDP SPT=5060 DPT=62975 LEN=456 -- Why is this happening? We got no relationship with the DST

smbclient - session setup failed: NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL
I have been using Samba for years and am at my wits end with this problem. I have 3.0.0beta1-1 installed (actually, it's the latest Debian unstable package). I just upgraded it - it was working fine yesterday. I have rejoined my machine to the domain (did this by creating the account using NT4's Server Manager to add it and then net rpc join CCSU -U dnewcomb%password -W CCSU (The

wall and mesg and Xwindow
I read in another post this morning something that reminded me of a question that has left my pulling my eyebrows out. How are broadcast messages enabled in X? I have found that # mesg y at a console will enable wall to post to that console. And, by placing "mesg y" in /etc/rc.d/rc.local, messages will be enabled on all consoles. But they're not enabled in KDE, neither in a

Three ActiveRecord features we want at work - any comments/suggestions?
Hi I thought I would run this past the Rails list before I start doing any work because I don''t want to re-invent any wheels. Basically the situation I''m in is that I work for a company that is currently working on two big non-Rails projects used for financial purposes (one sells vehicles and vehicle finance, the other is an internal broker management system used by

[Debuginfo] Changing llvm.dbg.value and DBG_VALUE to support multiple location operands
> I'm not sure this will work as stated here. Indirectness is (mostly) orthogonal to DW_OP_stack_value. DW_OP_stack_value denotes that we reconstructed the value of the variable, but it doesn't exist in the program ("The DW_OP_stack_value operation specifies that the object does not exist in memory but its value is nonetheless known"), for example, a constant value. I think we

I don't think they are doing it with one Asterisk box. They did say "one rack of servers". Well, that might mean up to 50 computers if they are using blade servers. -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com]On Behalf Of John Todd Sent: Thursday, February 02, 2006 10:21 PM To:

What benchmarks does LLVM community use for compile-time study? I see CTMark, but is that the only one being analyzed? CTMark is not cast in stone. Its purpose is for the community to have a trackable proxy for the overall llvm test
