[PATCH] small mca cleanup
Hi!
The MCG_CAP MSR never returns a negative count of available
error-reporting banks. Thus make nr_mce_banks unsigned.
While here, do some other minor cleanups.

[RFC, PATCH 12/24] i386 Vmi processor header
Fairly straight code motion. Split non-virtualizable pieces of
processor.h into default and VMI subarches. CPUID is
non-virtualizable, since it doesn't trap, and very often the
hypervisor will want to hide specific feature bits from the
kernel. To provide a replacement for call sites that use
CPUID as a serializing instruction, the sync_core() macro is
still available.

Windows testing
R 1.4.0 is now sinking into feature freeze, and we'd like some help
testing it under Windows. Duncan Murdoch and Uwe Ligges have already
volunteered.
I've put a copy of SetupR140.exe at

Also in that directory is a file TESTING suggesting some tests, not all of
which have been run on this build. As the graphics internals have been
changed a lot

patch to add a menu item in Rgui for RSiteSearch
Please consider adding the following to the next R release (I understand
that it's too late for R-2.1.0). It adds the menu item `Search R Site' in
the `Help' menu in Rgui (which calls RSiteSearch() on the input string).

In our test for win8 guest mce, we find a bug that no matter what SRAO/SRAR
error xen inject to win8 guest, it always reboot.
The root cause is, current Xen vMCE logic inject vMCE# only to vcpu0, this is
not correct for Intel MCE (Under Intel arch, h/w generate MCE# to all CPUs).
This patch fix vMCE injection bug, injecting vMCE# to all vcpus.

No, just no. You do not use goto to skip a code block. You do not
return an obvious variable from a singly-inlined function and give
the function a return value. You don't put unexplained comments
about kmalloc in code which doesn't do dynamic allocation. And
you don't leave stray warnings around for no good reason.
Also, when possible, it is better to use block scoped variables

[PATCH] x86/mce: Use MCG_CAP MSR to find out number of banks on AMD
Currently number of error reporting register banks is hardcoded to
6 on AMD processors. This may break in virtualized scenarios when
a hypervisor prefers to report fewer banks that the physical HW
provides.
Since number of supported banks is reported in MSR_IA32_MCG_CAP[7:0]
that''s what we should use.

Recommended hardware for a firewall/router?
Not really a CentOS specific question, but I hope it's ok...
I've decided to buy a server to use as a firewall/router instead of the
usual Cisco box, simply because I've come to love Firewall Builder and
would like to put all my subnets into one firewall. There will be four

lda predict
Dear R-helpers,
I have a model created by lda, and I would like to use this
model to make predictions for new or old data. The catch is, I want to
do this without using the "predict" function, i.e. only using
information directly from the foo.lda object to create my posterior

Speex compile/rpmbuild issue on x86_64
Not sure if it is just my configuration but building the RPM on Centos
x86_64 fails. Also not sure if this is to be fixed in the Makefile or in
the configure.
The rpm compile proceeds apace until the build reaches the %files
section. Here it uses the _libdir directive to look for the libraries
that have just been compiled. However in an x86_64 environment the
_libdir directive points to lib64
