set seen flag and junk moving a mail manually to JUNK
Ok. I tried another Thunderbird-specific Flag: require ["imap4flags", "vnd.dovecot.pipe", "copy", "imapsieve", "environment", "variables"]; if environment :matches "imap.email" "*" { ? set "email" "${1}";?? } addflag "Junk"; addflag "\\seen"; addflag "$label3"; pipe

set seen flag and junk moving a mail manually to JUNK
Hi there! I want to set the \seen and the Junk Flag to an email, which i move manually to my Junk-Folder. I tried a lot... but nothing worked like expected. I have a sieve-filter, which takes an email and copy it to a pipe to rspamc. This filter is working correctly, i get a debug-message from the script, which is called through the sieve-filter. But adding another rule (addflag

set seen flag and junk moving a mail manually to JUNK
* Jakobus Sch?rz: > addflag "Junk"; > setflag "\\seen"; That's probably not what you want, because the 'setflag' command replaces all existing flags. In any case, I recommend you use this method instead: plugin { sieve_pipe_bin_dir = /etc/dovecot/sievepipe # Message moved into Spam folder imapsieve_mailbox1_name = Junk

set seen flag and junk moving a mail manually to JUNK
Hi Ralph! This is, what calls the correct sive-filter rules. I have that already in use. But the file file:/etc/dovecot/sievepipe/report-spam contains my sieve-script from my first posting. So, the difference from setflag to addflag is, setflag sets the flags, and only the given flags (removing all other flags), and addflag adds a flag to the existing flags... I fiddled around a little... The

Junk mail filtering in Evolution
I'm upgrading a few clients to CentOS 4.2. They have been using Evolution 1.x, so this is the first release that will have junk mail filtering. So I've switched from Thunderbird to Evolution on my own desktop tp better support them. I have been dutifully marking the spam and the ham. But the filter has so far not flagged a single email on its own. (I've flagged about a hundred so

Junk e-mail .... help needed!!!
Hi!! Of late, I'm getting a lot of un-solicited mails from this list, and inspite of un-subscribing mails, messages, threats , nothing really seems to work... My question: 1. Is there any way I can 'avoid' or 'bounce' incoming messages at the mail-server level?? 2. I cannot change my address (alias) as such... since this involves sending reminders to God knows how many

Deletion of mail from Junk mailbox
I have a pigeon sive running which directs some of my received mail to the Junk folder. That works just fine. However, a couple minutes later, it is moved to Deleted mailbox and deleted from Junk. At first I thought my client was doing that so I shut down the client and it still happens. Here are the log entries: Jul 2 00:36:31 mail dovecot: imap(doug): copy from INBOX: box=Junk, uid=10842,

Junk faxes
Hey everybody, I wanted to know what other may be doing to stem the flood of inbound junk faxes? We currently using Asterisk/iaxmodem/Hylafax for fax services and get a number of junk faxes daily. Most (If not all) of them have caller-id blocked and have a TSI of "". I was hoping that, since we are using a PRI, there would be other information coming across that I could use to

Need 2 additional folders like INBOX for JUNK and INFECTED mails
Hi there, i need for JUNK & INFECTED mail two folders like INBOX. The folders must be fixed in naming, permissions and so on. I've adjusted some commands in the ./src/imap folder. But it's work not really fine: Creating a folder works, but deleting too. *smile* Moving a "special-name-folder" (f.e. from Trash) to its correct place, Dovecot says, that the folder

ActionMailer e-mails getting tagged as junk in Outlook 2003
Whenever an email is sent via ActionMailer, and the recipient is using Outlook 2003 (with SP2 installed), the e-mail is getting put in the junk e-mail folder. Since Outlook doesn''t give a reason it was tagged as junk, it''s hard to determine what to change. I''ve compared the message headers of the "junk" mail and a valid email sent through Outlook, and the

SPAM and other junk posted to openssh-unix-dev@mindrot.org
You can read the list via <http://gmane.org/>, which does its own Spamassassin and ClamAV filtering. But it looks like at the moment SA there is having almost as many troubles as that filtering the list itself. It would be possible to write some new SA rules to catch the 'suspicious message' crap, and then send them to either the list owner or the maintainer of Gmane. -- Ed Avis

Sieve junks mail script creating links
My Junk mailbox is still filling up with hard linked emails. There are some junk mails with over 3000 hard linked files and over half a million files in the .Junk/cur folder. I had a handy script to remove them all by doing a find for inodes and sorting the list by age and keeping the olds hard link and removing all the others, but I now can?t find it :/ so I have just taken to periodically

hi using centos 6.5, qmailtoaster, dovecot, spamassassin. i found that junk folder is specified under /etc/dovecot/conf.d/15-mailboxes.conf the issue is that this folder is getting created automatically and genuine emails from both within the server and also from external domains are being routed to the Junk folder. all these emails are not scanned by spamassasin. i wish to disable to
