[PATCH RFC] first cut at splitting up paravirt_ops
Here's a first attempt at splitting up paravirt_ops into more specific
chunks. Its pretty clunky and chunky; mostly just a lot of
replacement. The grouping of ops is very first cut; I'm open to
suggestions about what groups should exist and what ops they each should
contain.
The only slightly subtle part is that I've kept the structures wrapped
in a paravirt_ops structure,

[PATCH RFC] paravirt_ops: refactor struct paravirt_ops into smaller pv_*_ops
This patch refactors the paravirt_ops structure into groups of
functionally related ops:
pv_info - random info, rather than function entrypoints
pv_init_ops - functions used at boot time (some for module_init too)
pv_misc_ops - lazy mode, which didn't fit well anywhere else
pv_time_ops - time-related functions
pv_cpu_ops - various privileged instruction ops
pv_irq_ops - operations for

[PATCH RFC REPOST 1/2] paravirt: refactor struct paravirt_ops into smaller pv_*_ops
[ I think this is a straight repost this patch, which addresses all the
previous comments. I'd like to submit this for .24 as the basis for a
unified paravirt_ops. Any objections? ]

[PATCH 4/6] SMP boot hook for paravirt
Add VMI SMP boot hook. We emulate a regular boot sequence and use the
same APIC IPI initiation, we just poke magic values to load into the CPU
state when the startup IPI is received, rather than having to jump through a
real mode trampoline.
This is all that was needed to get SMP to work.

[PATCH] paravirt: remove unused pv_apic_ops structure
The only member of that structure is startup_ipi_hook which is always
set to paravirt_nop.

[PATCH 3/5] Paravirt smp.patch
Add VMI SMP boot hooks. This is a bit unclean (the #ifdef's), but I
wanted a quick and dirty hack to get SMP up and working.

[RFC, PATCH 9/24] i386 Vmi smp support
SMP bootstrapping support. Just as in the physical platform model,
the BSP is responsible for initializing the AP state prior to execution.
The dependence on lots of processor state information is a design choice
of our implementation. Conceivably, this could be a hypercall that
awakens the same start of day state on APs as on the BSP.
It is likely the AP startup and the start-of-day model will

[PATCH] Add smp_ops interface
Add a smp_ops interface. This abstracts the API defined by
<linux/smp.h> for use within arch/i386. The primary intent is that it
be used by a paravirtualizing hypervisor to implement SMP, but it
could also be used by non-APIC-using sub-architectures.
This is related to CONFIG_PARAVIRT, but is implemented unconditionally
since it is simpler that way and not a highly performance-sensitive

[PATCH 9/9] Vmi smp fixes.patch
Critical fixes for SMP.
Fix a couple functions which needed to be __devinit and fix a bogus
parameter to AP startup that just so happened to work because the
low virtual mapping of memory was still established.
