DJGPP patches and makefiles
Hi.
Here are my patches and makefiles for compiling ogg, vorbis and
vorbis-tools on DOS with DJGPP. They can build them from cvs snapshots
and need minimal maintainance (even extract source lists from
`makefile.am's). Everything seems to work, except one FP exception on
encode at middle bitrates (lowest two and highest bitrates don't cause it)
- I don't think it's my

run time assembler patch for altivec, sse + bug fixes
Hi Folks,
Attached is a patch against the latest svn, plus new source files.
This patch allows the specification of c or assembler versions of various
functions at run time if _USE_SSE or _USE_ALTIVEC is specified
at compile time.
The basic concept is to use function pointers and preprocessor trickery
to allow for run-time without changing how the other platforms work, esp.
the platform function

PXELinux cannot load the config file
I have DHCP and TFTP on a Solaris machine, pxelinux.0 loads, but it
can't load the configuration file. The tftp server on Solaris tries to
send the file, but data transfers do not receive ACKs. Previous posts
to this list have indicated that the suspect was the PXE BIOS (ref
"PXELinux can't load the config file?" dated March 20, 2003). Does that
still appear to be the case

Major internal changes, TI DSP build change
Jean-Marc,
Here are the patches, broken out one per file. I did some additional work
in the testenc files based on Peter Mlakar's post to make it easier (though
still a bit klunky) to try different rates.
These changes also incorporate the file window.c into the builds, change the
decoder startup delay to account for the change in the algorithm delay from
10ms to 5ms, and change bits.c

Possible candidate for security patches
Well, I've been down since the announcement(s) on bugtraq, and nothing
has been forthcoming so...I've decided to do just a bare bones
security audit of icecast 1.3.11. All I've really done is replace all
the sprintf() and strcpy() I could find with bounds checking
snprintf() and strncpy(). I've been kind of anal, please forgive
me. ;)
There is still a problem (I believe) with

xapian 1.2.21 / MSYS-1.0.11.exe
Xapian Developers,
[I initially thought to install xapian on SFU (Interix 3.5) on MS XP but could not compile libuuid]
[getopt.h, inttypes.h, and stdint.h taken from SUA (for Vista) and installed in SFU (Interix 3.5)]
If someone is inclined to write a modified libuuid and label it for use with Interix <version(s)> to
satisfy the dependency for an xapian <version(s)> install on

[LLVMdev] sqlite3 crashing jit
Hello,
I'm trying to compile sqlite3 using llvm-gcc, then run it with lli. I've attached a Makefile and a main.c that simply invokes sqlite3_initialize(). You'll need to download sqlite3 (it was too big to attach) and copy main.c and the Makefile into the directory where sqlite3.c is [Link: sqlite-amalgamation-3_7_0_1.zip <http://www.sqlite.org/sqlite-amalgamation-3_7_0_1.zip>

[PATCH] stream_encoder.c: choose proper *fixed_compute_best_predictor* function
I found that 32-bit total_error_* variables in fixed_compute_best_predictor()
functions can overflow. For example it happens with the attached test.wav and
the following options: "-l 0 -b 4200 -m -r 5".
The attached patch should fix it.
(Now all three use_wide_by_* variables are unused, so I commented them out
with #ifdef 0).
