Traffic control of PPPoE users
I need some suggestions, I want to limit the up and down bandwidth of PPPoE
users that are terminated on a Linux router (kernel 2.6).
What are my options, can I apply tbf qdisc on a ppp interface? That
would limit the download, what about the upload?
Any suggestions are welcome.

LineJacks & Asterisk
Hi folks,
First off all, I'm new to asterisk.
I'd like to make a basic installation of * with a Linejack, as
recommended in this mailing list, I downloaded and setup successfuly
the pwlib, openh323 lib, asterisk and chan_323.
I have made little changes to default configuration files packed with
asterisk and I managed to call with the telephone plugged in my

WISH: Built-in R session-specific universally unique identifier (UUID)
# Proposal
Provide a built-in mechanism for obtaining an identifier for the
current R session, e.g.
> Sys.info()[["session_uuid"]]
[1] "4258db4d-d4fb-46b3-a214-8c762b99a443"
The identifier should be "unique" in the sense that the probability
for two R sessions(*) having the same identifier should be extremely
small. There's no need for reproducibility, i.e.

[PATCH] handle --debug-gc universally via at_exit hook
Several tools handle --debug-gc command-line option, by explicitly
forcing GC on every exit path. This is tedious and prone to forgetting
some of the exit paths.
Instead, add a generic handler for --debug-gc, which installs an at_exit
hook to do the GC consistency check, and which can be called right in
the command-line parser. Also adjust all users of --debug-gc to use
that handler.

level 8 even granting 666 access to radiusclient-ng config files.
message: cdr_radius.c:208 radius_log: Unable to create RADIUS record. CDR

Please advise if I missed out anything.

Asterisk Radius CDR
Hi Andrew and Willy,
Thanks for sharing the info.
As for enabling radius server debugging 'radiusd -X', made some test calls
don't see the radiusclient sending data to radius server. However, using
radtest or radiusclient testing, able to send data to radius server (after
enabling debug).
For further testing, on my other server using OpenSIPs, setup the

And now:
gem install camping --source code.whytheluckystiff.net
I hope this will be the last development release before 1.5.
* ActiveRecord no longer required or installed.
* If you refer to Models::Base, however, ActiveRecord will be loaded
with autoload. (see lib/camping/db.rb)
* new Camping::FastCGI.serve which will serve a whole directory of apps
(see TheCampingServer[1])

festival and gcc 3.3.2 (Fedora Core 1)
Can someone tell me how to build festival on a machine with gcc 3.3.2?
I've searched all around and even found a reference or two that the
problem exists but I'm not seeing the fix.
thanks!

Not too different from their corresponding last releases, but documentation
has been filled in for both.
To upgrade:
gem install camping --source code.whytheluckystiff.net
And, here is a complete changelog:

Blind Transfer Won't Hangup
I'm using FreePBX 2.5.2.2 with Asterisk 1.6.1.4. If I make a call and
then decide to blind transfer them using ## my side of the call is not
hung up. Instead it sends me to voicemail. If somebody calls me and
then I blind transfer them with ## I am hung up on as expected.
I called from 8678 to 28688. I then transferred the call to 8532.
Asterisk acts like it wants to hang up, but then
