[PATCH] virtio_net: Fix oops on early interrupts - introduced by virtio reset code
Avi, this fixes a problem that was introduced by the virtio_reset patches. Can you apply that fix to kvm.git as a bugfix, as the virtio_reset infrastructure is not on Linus upstream yet? Anthony, Dor, are you ok with that change? -- With the latest virtio_reset patches I got the following oops: Unable to handle kernel pointer dereference at virtual kernel address 0000000000000000 Oops: 0004

[PATCH] virtio_net: Fix open <-> interrupt race
I got the following oops during interface ifup. Unfortunately its not easily reproducable so I cant say for sure that my fix fixes this problem, but I am confident and I think its correct anyway: <2>kernel BUG at /space/kvm/drivers/virtio/virtio_ring.c:234! <4>illegal operation: 0001 [#1] PREEMPT SMP <4>Modules linked in: <4>CPU: 0 Not tainted

blk-mq crash under KVM in multiqueue block code (with virtio-blk and ext4)
Folks, we have seen the following bug with 3.16 as a KVM guest. It suspect the blk-mq rework that happened between 3.15 and 3.16, but it can be something completely different. [PATCH 0/6] virtio: virtqueue ops cleanup
virtqueue ops were introduced in the hope that we'll have multiple implementations besides virtio_ring, but none have surfaced so far, and given that existing virtio ring is deployed in production we are likely stuck with it now, so this layer just adds complexity and overhead. Further, the need to pass vq twice to each call (as in dev->vq->vq_ops->kick(dev->vq) ) adds potential
