Routing Calls via chan_capi with AVM FritzCard
Hello asterisk-users, I recently set up an asterisk server using Debian Sarge. I also added an ISDN card (AVM FritzCard PCI) to the machine. I built amd installed a new kernel (2.6.15.1) with modular support for the CAPI stuff and also integrated the FritzCard driver available from AVM. capiinfo succeeds in correctly showing the ISDN card. When talking from one PC to another via SIP, everything

Working UPS report: Geek Squad GS-700U (Cyberpower clone?)
Hi, I wanted to report some success with monitoring this UPS, a "Geek Squad" brand GS-700U that I purchased earlier this year from Best Buy Canada. Information about this... thing is very scarce so here is what I know: The unit itself is probably made by Cyberpower. It has a 9-pin serial port on the UPS, as well as a serial-USB adapter thing. I cracked open the serial-USB

Problems with NX ?
i've just compiled and installed 0.9.7 on my shiny new pentium D box (FC4+updates & 2.6.15.1 kernel) and i've got a pesky solitary windows application that page faults at it's entry address (0x406796). its only this one application that dies (its a proprietary compiler, so i can't distribute anything to test with unfortunately). if i turn off NX in the BIOS, it works fine

dealing with blind transfers to invalid extensions
Running Asterisk 1.2.8 kernel 2.6.13.4-1. Everything in my dialplan seems to be working well except for one problem. When calls are blind transferred to an invalid extension I would like the call to go to the operator on ext 1000? What is the best way to do this? Thanks in advance Here's a snippet of my extensions.conf [default] exten=>_10XX,1,Macro(stdexten,${EXTEN},SIP/${EXTEN})

3.0.14 -> 3.0.20a: ldap errors, unable to authenticate or browse
Hello, I was using version 3.0.14 and upgraded to 3.0.20a. I did not change my config, however, I am seeing some serious problems now, and I am not sure what to do about it. I noticed there were a large number of changes between these two versions. I looked at the changes briefly, but there are just so many. This samba server is a domain memmber, on an ADS domain with a win 2003 enterprise

Problem with duplicate route entry
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello! I have a problem with a duplicate route entry, when using a pre-installed route and automatic take-over by the "heartbeat" daemon, which adds an address and the kernel adds an route automatically. "undefined reference to `yes_storage'"
Well after the 'issues' with Compaq C, I decided to attempt compile using GCC-3.4.3... To put it short, that didn't fair well either. Will L G. CIFS: mounting public/guest shares impossible? error: SessSetup = -13
hi, i've always been using mount -t smbfs and recently "upgraded" to mount.cifs because i have a very aggressive application which always killed the smb connection (getting timeouts, ...). my setup: * some passwordless public/guest shares * one admin share over a x-over link to be able to use the admin share i had to switch my server from "security = share" to

GFS and samba
Hello, We have two Fedora 5 Servers clustered with GFS. We installed samba and exported the same shares in both of them. All went fine at first, with people accessing to theirs own files and so, but for some programs (minitab, matlab, ...) people need to access the same file at once. Then samba begins to fail and clients hang. In order to fix samba is necessary to restart the service.

rsync huge files from cygwin to linux stalls - bug?
hi there i'm trying to backup a 3gig directory with about 100.000 files from a windows pc to a linux box with rsync but the process stalls (hangs). setting a "--timeout 60" shows me that the i/o stalls. doing the same with smaller directories works perfectly but the whole 100.000 files seem to be too much. the process hangs before the file list is done. rsync doesn't start

We hit ext3_warning (inode->i_sb, "ext3_block_to_path", "block < 0");
Dear ext3-users, we hit this condition in fs/ext3/inode.c:ext3_block_to_path() if (i_block < 0) { ext3_warning (inode->i_sb, "ext3_block_to_path", "block < 0"); occasionally on two identical PATA-IDE disks copied over per filesystem-rsync. What is the impact of this condition? - Kernel was 2.6.13.4, CONFIG_LBD is not set but CONFIG_HIGHMEM4G=y

u32 hashing filter - deletion problem!
Hi there, I''m having a bit of a headache because of the u32 filter with hashing... My router administration system updates filter configuration differentially. Therefore I need to delete filters sometimes. I know that by deleting root class I''d make all filters go away, but I can''t use that option in this particular case. When I delete even a single u32 hashed filter I
