"No route matches" error?
I am new Rspec and just started by generating a new controller on
Rails 3. It generates some Rspec tests by default. I have a question
about how to make them pass though. As it stands, I see this test in
my terminal"

Overhead paging over IP...
I have a customer that has two buildings that are connected with a
fiber link. We have a single Asterisk server to cover both buildings.
Now the customer went and bought an overhead paging system for the
remote building and they want to integrate it with Asterisk. Is there a
device that can connect over IP or an ATA that has an audio output port?
The buildings are about 500 meters apart so we

multiples domains or PDCs in samba
Hello,
I'm Nicol?s from Uruguay, I work in ASSE (public health services), the
enterprise has lots of buildings all over my country, more than 100,
with thousands of employees and PCs. Until now there is no "network
configuration" in PCs (no network users, etc) and I'm trying to solve
that out. I started working with samba about one year ago (I've been
learning a lot), I

Action working in local, not working once deployed
Hello
I have a form (new/create) which works well in local, but not when
deployed where it keeps being redirected to the index action when I
submit.
Here is what I have done so far :
- de-Ajaxified the form to be pure HTML
- put a logger.info on the first line of the create action and
realised I did not pass through the action
- I have suppressed all the before_filter actions for this controller

Modeling complex associations
Hi,
Is there any default way to model something like the following
situation in ActiveRecord?:
A company has_many :buildings which are associated to :company, e.g.
in a polymorphic way.
Moreover one and only one of the buildings is the company''s
headquarter.
Thinking in terms of the database, I''d prefer to add an owning
association, an thus have a has_many :buildings plus a

Correction for first order autocorrelation in OLS residuals
Hi there fellow R-users,
Can anyone tell me if there exits an R package that deals with serial
correlation in the residuals of an lm model.
Perhaps, using the Cochrane Orcutt or Praise Wilson methods?
Thanks,
Wayne

: RODBC column length>255
Hello there fellow R-users,
I am using the RODBC functionality to query a database. I am trying to read
in a columns of strings which have a character field lengths greater than
255.
The data.frame that I recieve back from the RODBC query only contains the
first 255 characters (the rest having been truncated).
Any help on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

best analysis method : for time series ans cross sectional data
Howdy
What I 'd like to analyze with a large data on building permits is to find
time series effect of urban policy on buildings as well as
cross-sectional effects in any. In 1990 the specialZone urban policy
was introduced. I guess that the effects of this specialZone policy
would be different from countys. There are counties that do not
welcome this specialZone forced to design it.

Na handing with time series objects
Hello All,
Does anyone out there know a way to decompose time series objects with
missing values.
A simple "na.omit" will not work since it does not preserve the time
differences between succesive observations.
Thanks in advance,
Wayne

Setting a default order for a model?
Hi,
I''m using a room model throughout my code. I keep doing the following:
@rooms = Room.find(:all, :order => ''buildings.name, room_number'',
:include => :building)
I have to copy this into several of my controllers and I feel that I''m
violating the DRY principle. Can I set this as the default order in my
model? If so, how would I do that?
Thanks,

Multiple PDCs, Single Domain
Hello,
I have a rather experimental question to ask.
I know that under standard circumstances, that you cannot have multiple
PDC for a single domain, as they will conflict with each other.
I am dealing with a case of a school district, where there are multiple
buildings. There are T-1s that tie together each of the buildings, then a
bonded T-1 grants access to the internet through the main admin
