Samba and keytab file creation
I am working on trying to set up Solaris 11 and Linux clients as Samba domain members with a Win 2008 AD domain controller/directory server. I am also trying to configure Kerberos for unix level authentication.
I am unclear if Samba can create a keytab file or only use a previously created on.
With solaris, there is "kclient" command that creates the machine account on the

Samba4 and keytabs
Hello,
I installed Samba4 according to the HOWTO. The provisioning created a
user (dns) and a keytab for DNS updates, but the service principal in
the keytab seems to be wrong for me (the domain name instead of
ns1.domainname).
What would be the correct way of changing / adding service principals
associated with a user and re-generating the keytab?
I got the dns updates working by adding a

ktpass.sh error / How to generate a keytab for a new service (apache) with SAMBA4?
Hi,
I was trying to get a new keytab in samba4 for my apache service. So I
tried the following command:
sh ktpass.sh --out /etc/apache.keytab --princ
HTTP/myhost.samba.my.domain at SAMBA.MY.DOMAIN --pass VerySecure123 --enc
des-cbc-md5
I get the following error: Unable to find kvno for principal
HTTP/myhost.samba.my.domain at SAMBA.MY.DOMAIN
Am I doing something wron or shouldn't I be

kerberos nfs4's principals and root access
Hai,
I had it the other way around. Only root acces.
I have scripted my setup and tested on debian.
Look here
https://secure.bazuin.nl/scripts/these_are_experimental_scripts/
setup-nfsv4-kerberos.sh
If you get the file, setup-nfsv4-kerberos.sh and compair it to your setup.
If you can read the bash script maybe you see something you missed.
When i write as "root" its root and
