[PATCH 1/4] net: skb_orphan on dev_hard_start_xmit
Various drivers do skb_orphan() because they do not free transmitted
skbs in a timely manner (causing apps which hit their socket limits to
stall, socket close to hang, etc.).
DaveM points out that there are advantages to doing it generally (it's
more likely to be on same CPU than after xmit), and I couldn't find
any new starvation issues in simple benchmarking here.

[Bridge] [Patch] [2.6.7] Bridge - Fix BPDU message_age
Fixes message_age field update in config BPDUs. Also checks whether the BPDU

[PATCH][BRIDGE] Properly dereference the br_should_route_hook
This hook is protected with the RCU, so simple
if (br_should_route_hook)
br_should_route_hook(...)
is not enough on some architectures.
Use the rcu_dereference/rcu_assign_pointer in this case.

I use the libbridge and an other lib (libnl) in a same project.
I include the headers files of the two lib (libnl first and libbridgge
after) and I've a conflict with the inclusion of linux/if.h (in libnl
headers) and net/if.h (in libbridge.h), I've this error :

[Bridge] [PATCH net-next v2 2/3] bridge: Add a limit on learned FDB entries
A malicious actor behind one bridge port may spam the kernel with packets
with a random source MAC address, each of which will create an FDB entry,
each of which is a dynamic allocation in the kernel.
There are roughly 2^48 different MAC addresses, further limited by the
rhashtable they are stored in to 2^31. Each entry is of the type struct
net_bridge_fdb_entry, which is currently 128 bytes big.

[Bridge] [PATCH net-next v2 0/3, iproute2-next 0/1] bridge: Add a limit on learned FDB entries
Introduce a limit on the amount of learned FDB entries on a bridge,
configured by netlink with a build time default on bridge creation in
the kernel config.
For backwards compatibility the kernel config default is disabling the
limit (0).
Without any limit a malicious actor may OOM a kernel by spamming packets
with changing MAC addresses on their bridge port, so allow the bridge
creator to limit

[Bridge] STP Explanation
Hi,
I'm trying to modify the stp kernel files in order to implements the RSTP. I've already modify the bpdu format like this :

int proposal = 0;
int port_role[2] = {0,0} ; //role du port ?metteur du BPDU

eth_hw_addr_random() and code to reset the state to
NET_ADDR_PERM as soon as the MAC get changed via
.ndo_set_mac_address where eth_mac_addr wasn't used.

[PATCH O/4] BIO tracking take2
Hi all,
With this series of patches, you can determine the owners of any
type of I/Os. I ported the previous version to linux-2.6.26-rc2-mm1.
This makes dm-ioband -- I/O bandwidth controller -- be able to control
the Block I/O bandwidths even when it accepts delayed write requests.
Dm-ioband can find the owner cgroup of each request.
It is also possible that OpenVz team and NEC Uchida-san team

[Bridge] Bridge MAC address
Sorry, if this question has been answered before, but I could not find
out with a brief look.
How can I set the MAC address for a bridge? The MAC address given for
the bridge device seems to be the one it sends network packets with if
the bridge device has an IP address set. Apparently the bridge starts
with a zero MAC address and when the first interface is attached to
it, it takes its MAC

ieee80211.i386 yum repository
I have been attempting to install the ipw2100.1.2.0 driver onto my laptop, but have run into some troubles. It requires IEEE 802.11, which I have downloaded the rpm for from sourceforge. The make produces the following error for me.
