UPS (Megatec) with strange voltage values
Hello Nut List! I have 2 "Lacerda 10KVA" UPS that returns strange values for Q1 and F commands: Q1 (215.0 215.0 219.0 004 60.0 2.27 39.0 00000001 F #220.0 045 240.0 60.0 At least what I know about Megatec, It seems to say that it has a 240.0 V battery with currently 2.27V. Quite strange. I contacted Lacerda to help me interpret this values and they said that 2.27 is just 1 element

Nouveau / GeForce 7600 GS / DualHead / AMD64x2
Hi all! I just wanted to tell you that I checked out the latest nouveau version and replaced the old 'nv' driver. Additionally to the installation instruction I added Option "RandR12" "true" to the Device section and Virtual 2560 1024 to the Display subsection in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. Putting xrandr --output DVI-D-1 --auto --output DVI-D-0 --auto

Some ideas on how to mix userspace fifo's with a kernel memory manager
I was thinking of the following system: Allocate a fifo for userspace, map the fifo, map the fifo registers into userspace. These allocations are therefore pinned, so something to avoid memory fragmentation has to be done. Userspace library fills up an entire fifo, minus a few essential things i will mention later. Userspace does ioctl with all the bo's it'll need for the fifo.

The problem: When I boot the laptop without external LCD/CRT, beryl is working fine, but when I boot it with the external, it recognice fine the external LCD and don't want to allow beryl run. OpenSUSE packages
Hello guys, Nouveau's OpenSUSE Build packages have broken dependences. It seems that now it demands xorg>=7.5 but the avaiable in opensuse 11.2 (current version) is 7.4. As there is no xorg-7.5 compiled for 11.2, I'm running vesa driver by now. I guess that a hint on download page could be useful. Cheers, --- Luiz Angelo Daros de Luca, Me. luizluca at gmail.com

However, I got this error: (EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib64/dri/nouveau_dri.so failed (/usr/lib64/dri/nouveau_dri.so: undefined symbol: _glapi_tls_Context) Does it means I need an updated xorg? How to set a different resolution?
I just gave nouveau a try and was surprised that it just works out of the box on Mandriva. Great work! However, I'm not sure how to set up a different resolution properly. With the closed nvidia driver, I usually just click on krandrtray in KDE and pick a different resolution. With nouveau driver, though, it works as well, but only partially. I can see the resolution is theoretically

Mouse Leaving Window
Hi there, I have some problems stopping my mouse leaving the window. It happens in nearly every game i tired (Stalker, Diablo2. Starcraft) but not in Crimsonland. I have no idea what to do. Of course i tried different settings with winecfg but nothing solved my problem. I'm running Debian/Sid with a dualhead xorg.conf. So if anyone got some ideas, let me know them :)
