Rack content-length Rack::Lint::LintErrors errors with unicorn
Has anyone seen anything like this before? I can get it to happen all
the time if I issue a HEAD request, but it only happens very
intermittently on GET requests.
I''m using Ruby 1.9.2p180.
Any ideas on where to start debugging?

New Rails Site: http://www.tanga.com
http://www.tanga.com is where it''s at. We''re planning on open sourcing
the e-commerce bits of it sometime in the near future. Any suggestions
on how to best do that? (plugin? generator?)

Testing
With the 0.2.0 code, unit testing of workers isn''t working out of the box.
I created a bare rails project (dubbed "ninja") and generated one worker

undefined method `use_transactional_fixtures=''
Folks,
I checked my test_helper.rb and it has
self.use_transactional_fixtures = true
My code was generated with 1.1.2 and I''m using 1.1.3 right now after
but the error persists.
I googled for this issue and it appears that a require is missing or
something like that. I can''t figure it out, please help!

Ferret 0.9.5
Hi,
I was wondering if the latest version of acts_as_ferret (0.2.2) that is
listed on http://projects.jkraemer.net/acts_as_ferret/ is compatible
with the latest version of Ferret 0.9.5. I noticed that the website
above stated that it was supposed to work with 0.9.4, but I didn''t see
anything about 0.9.5.
Thanks,
Aaron

''Series'' Pluralization
Howdy,
I have a model I called ''content_series''. I created it and noticed that
Rails called it ''Sery'', so I added ''series'' to the uncountable thing in
the config, like this:
Inflector.inflections do |inflect|
# inflect.plural /^(ox)$/i, ''\1en''
# inflect.singular /^(ox)en/i, ''\1''

NoMethodError trying to get ApplicationHelper method from a functional test
I am a little confused by the includes I suspect. In the book, it states
that runtime environment will load the directories app, app/models,
app/controllers, app/helpers, app/apis, components, config, lib, vendor and
vendor/rails/*.
However, when I try to access my "current_project" public method, it fails
with a NoMethodError.
What is even stranger is that I can use reflection to find

question about testing
Ok, so now I''m learning about testing. After a few initial hiccups,
I''ve got my tests written nicely and all the assertions are passing.
But I just have one question about doing tests in a loop.
In my setup, I''m using the login generator to protect ''sensitive''
actions, while some actions are public. So I''ve got this line in my
setup method:

Functional test problem with environments variables
Hi guys,
i have been experiencing this problem once i put in some constant
declarations in /config/environments/development.rb. I declared it very
normally like this :

it works in the controller and when i run the application, i managed to
get the values out from the development.rb by using some

Assert_select
Hi all
This is my first post here. I ave been using Rails for a couple of
months, and am starting to put together a test suite. But I''m having a
problem with assert_select in my functional tests.
According to the documentation, it should be fine with two arguments -
a CSS selector and a string to test it against. But no matter what I
do I keep getting the exception:

Unit Test Error: `load_specification': undefined method `parse' for Time:Class

I''ve come across a confusing problem when attempting to run unit tests

MiniMagick... Core Dump when Reszing Images?
Hi,
I''m using Mini Magick and that attachment_fu plugin to resize images
that the user uploads. Everything looks okay in my code, but I get a
core dump every time an image is uploaded.
The file successfully posts to the application, I can see that the
original file gets copied into the folder correctly. It appears that
it dumps immediately after that. I''m using Mongrel behind
