Swedish Rails
I would like to announce my plugin Swedish Rails.
Rails provide many goodies and helpers for you, but some of these are
dependant on your user interface being in english. Date controls, for
example. Pluralization is another. And have you ever tried to capitalize
a string with Swedish letters in them? Then you know it doesn''t work
that well. Until now, that is. You install this

[nbdkit PATCH v2] server: Permit - in plugin names
Use of - does not need shell quoting, and aids legibility in
multi-word plugin or filter names. Permitting both - and _ would be
ambiguous (not to mention that things like 'man nbdkit-foo_bar-plugin'
would look ugly), so prefer only the character that is easier for
human use. Permitting a leading - would be ambiguous with options,
but restricting to a letter as the first character would

Temporarily setting the output language for cmd.exe
Hi all,
One of the net-ping users reported that the Net::Ping::External library
was returning false positives on Vista. Basically, it does a ''ping -n1
host'' and checks for certain error strings.
The problem is that the error strings it checks for are in English. The
user in question is using a cmd.exe that''s entirely in Swedish (I think).
Is there any way I can

Replacing of non-alphanumeric chars in Name can be confusing
Tinc replaces non-alphanumeric characters in the `Name` field of
tinc.conf by '_' (see [1] and [2]).
This includes hyphens ('-'), which are often used in host names.
That is quite surprising, and can easily lead to misconfigurations,
especially because there doesn't seem to be a warning if you configure
`Name = node-1`, and on the other machines the host file

Yes, this might not be the proper list for this, but i have a question about Asterisk and voice recognition.
If I want to create a menu system where the user can say different things in the Swedish language what should I look at?
For example, i want the user to be able to say something simular in Swedish:
connect
disconnect
help and so on.
Best regards and thanks,

Problem searching with special characters
I''m using Ferret on a Swedish website and I get some unexpected
behaviour on searches containing the swedish charchters ???.
An exampel, if I index a string "Varf?r fungerar det inte" ("Why doesnt
it work" in swedish) and search for "f?r" I''ll get one (1) match. The
expected behaviour would be no matches since ''f?r'' is part of

the first name of the first column
Dear all;
I need to run heatmap. Because my first column in my data is alphanumeric,
I can not run as.matrix(scale(my_data)). So I need to make my data readable
as in data(mtcars). In *mtcars *data the first column is alphanumeric and
has no name.
Thanks,
Greg

naming of columns in R dataframe consisting of mixed data (alphanumeric and numeric)
Hello,
I have an r function that creates the following dataframe tresults2.
Notice that column 1 does not have a column heading.
Tresults2:

nullval 20.00000

ciWidth 2.04622

Installing Excel 97, SUCCESS!!
Hi again!
Yesterday I wrote to this list complaining that I could not install Excel 97. I have now succeeded. The trick was NOT to run "install.exe", but to unpack xl97_1.cab and run the acmsetup.exe in there, like so:
"wine -- acmsetup.exe /T excel97.stf"
(I think that excel97.stf existed in the first cab-file as well.)
The installer will ask for a few files that all can

assignment operator saving factor level as number
Hi all,
I have a dataframe (df1) that I am trying to select values from to a second
dataframe that at the current time is only for the selected items from df1
(df2). The values that I am trying to save from df1 are factors with
alphanumeric names
df1 looks like this:
'data.frame': 3014 obs. of 13 variables:
$ Num : int 1 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 3 4 ...
$ Tag_Num : int 1195

Asterisk goes international :-)
During the recent week, we've worked hard to add more of the contributed international
support to Asterisk. A big step was taken yesterday when Mark added international support
for saynumber() to CVS. We now have a first version of support for
* Danish
* German
* English
* Swedish
* Norwegian
* Portuguese
* Italian
* French
All of these require that you add your own sound files. There are

Crosstabs
Dear Users,
I'm a complete novice to R.
I need to do a crosstabs in R, but my data is almost completely
alphanumeric (with some variables scaled). The Table routine does not
seem to accept alphanumeric data. What should I do? Do I need to recode
it? How should I do that?
Thanks in advance,
Wilfred

2.2.8pre1 smbclient log in problem
Hi all samba coders. Glad to see that you work to improve samba.
Here is a problem I would be very greatful if you could solve.
Certain international characters does not work as usernames when trying to log
in to an NT4 file server. My problem is that in Swedish versions of NT the
"Administrator" username is translated and reads "Administrat?r". It seams
that the

Caller-ID for alphanumeric SIP uris
My first post here, so a brief intro:
I'm somewhat new to Asterisk, but have been working with SIP
in depth for about 3 years. I studied Asterisk for about a year
and have been experimenting with it hands-on for the past
month or so. I've done 6 Asterisk installs in wildly different
roles/applications, some of them test systems, others in
semi-production, so I know a little bit about

sendpage package
Is sendpage or some other alphanumeric paging program available from one
of the repos for CentOS 5? I've checked rpmforge and epel. I just
wanted to check to see if it might be available somewhere else before I
resort to building from source.

Problem with keyboard layout
Hi!
I'm trying to set up a fully virtualized server using Xen; both host and
guest operating system is CentOS-5.2. Otherwise it seems to work fairly
well, but I can't get my finnish keyboard work correctly for the
guest (when using virt-viewer. No problems on the host).
In the beginning, using default settings, the behaviour was as if the
keyboard layout had been set to "U.S.
