[PATCH 4.1] Add DomU xz kernel decompression
I have just applied this to staging-4.1. Since my own backport and
Bastian''s were entirely identical, I haven''t tested it other than to
compile it...
Thanks,
Ian.

Bug#1104993: bookworm upgrade leaves xen broken
Package: src:xen
Version: 4.17.5+23-ga4e5191dc0-1
I upgraded from bullseye to bookworm, and now when I try to run any xl
command, I get:
ERROR: Can't find version 4.14 of xen utils (maybe xen-utils-4.14 was
already removed before rebooting out of Xen 4.14), bailing out!
xen-utils-4.17 is what is now installed, so why is it complaining about
4.14?

Bug#1106420: xen-utils-common: block-iscsi script doesn't work when iqn is a prefix of an existing iqn
Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 4.17.5+23-ga4e5191dc0-1+deb12u1
Severity: normal
two issues with block-iscsi
1. If the iqn that is being used as a disk device is a prefix of an
existing in use iqn then xl create will fail with
libxl: error: libxl_device.c:1337:device_hotplug_child_death_cb: script: Device already opened
My fix is to match a space before and after the iqn.

Hi,
Please unblock package xen-api.
The PAM fix which we did for version 1.3.2-10 wasn't correct, and thanks to
the help of Steve Langasek, we have it in a good shape now.
The details of the conversation is available in the Ubuntu BTS here:

If somebody is still running wheezy for their dom0 (host) environment
and they are using jessie or other systems with grub2 in their VMs, they
can't boot their VM.

The current README.Debian is quite old
It gives some advice that will lead to people having a broken system
(e.g. no networking). It describes a procedure for configuring
networking that is completely opposite to what has been described more
recently on the upstream mailing list

699401df6ecec8ef8 has now landed upstream, which allows the leaf dir to be
set at configure time and therefore allows the packaging to avoid patching
some stuff.
