[PATCH 007/112] Xen: Make events.c portable for ia64/xen support.
Remove x86 dependency in drivers/xen/events.c for ia64/xen support introducing include/asm/xen/events.h. Introduce xen_irqs_disabled() to hide regs->flags Introduce xen_do_IRQ() to hide regs->orig_ax. make enum ipi_vector definition arch specific. ia64/xen needs four vectors. Add one rmb() because on ia64 xchg() isn't barrier. Signed-off-by: Isaku Yamahata <yamahata at

Re: [RFC PATCH 24/33] Add support for Xen event channels.
Chris, I read with interest your patch for adding support for Xen event channels. I notice that evtchn.h uses an int to represent a port, as demonstrated, for example, in the following two declarations: > +extern void mask_evtchn(int port); > +extern void unmask_evtchn(int port); Using a signed integer is good because negative numbers can be use to return error conditions from functions

Kernel panic is occured when multi VMs is booting togeter
This error is not 100% reproducible. However, kernel panic has been occurred many times for last two months. It usually happens when multi VMs (in our case, 14 VMs) are booting together. After we made three big changes to gain more availibility, it began to happen. Changes are : 1. Use *NAS* as vm storage for migration from local disk 2. Use *two bondings* for switch HA (with 4 nics) from

[PATCH 00/11] Xen arch portability patches
Hi. Recently the xen-ia64 community started to make efforts to merge xen/ia64 Linux to upstream. The first step is to merge up domU portion. This patchset is preliminary for xen/ia64 domU linux making the current xen/x86 domU code more arch generic and adding missing definitions and files. [RFC PATCH v2 21/25] smp, tile: kill SMP single function call interrupt
From: Jiang Liu <jiang.liu at huawei.com> Commit 9a46ad6d6df3b54 "smp: make smp_call_function_many() use logic similar to smp_call_function_single()" has unified the way to handle single and multiple cross-CPU function calls. Now only one interrupt is needed for architecture specific code to support generic SMP function call interfaces, so kill the redundant single function call
