[PATCH] ia64/pv_ops: paravirtualized istruction checker.
This patch implements a checker to detect instructions which should be paravirtualized instead of direct writing raw instruction. This patch does rough check so that it doesn't fully cover all cases, but it can detects most cases of paravirtualization breakage of hand written assembly codes. [PATCH 00/17] ia64/pv_ops take 6
Hi. This patchset implements ia64/pv_ops support which is the framework for virtualization support. Changes from take 5 are rebased to Linux 2.6.26-rc3, bug fix ivt.S paravirtualization and multi entry point support. I believe these patches can be applied to the linux ia64 repository. On x86 various ways to support virtualization were proposed, and eventually pv_ops won. So on ia64 the pv_ops

[PATCH] ia64: Fix shared build
We need to build with -mno-pic to disable all uses of GP, as well as use a custom linker script to avoid collisions between klibc.so's and the executable's segments. [PATCH 1/2] ia64: Fix invalid memory access in vfork
Commit 8418552 ("[klibc] ia64: Fix shared build") missed this use of the GP register, although the code appears to have been dubious anyway, assuming the address of errno was the first thing pointed to by GP. --- usr/klibc/arch/ia64/vfork.S | 6 +----- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 5 deletions(-) diff --git a/usr/klibc/arch/ia64/vfork.S b/usr/klibc/arch/ia64/vfork.S index

[PATCH 0/4] ia64/xen: paravirtualization of hand written assembly code
Hi. The patch I send before was too large so that it was dropped from the maling list. I'm sending again with smaller size. This patch set is the xen paravirtualization of hand written assenbly code. And I expect that much clean up is necessary before merge. We really need the feed back before starting actual clean up as Eddie already said before. Eddie discussed how to clean up and suggested

IVT SCD support status
Rainer, Arjen I was wandering around the code, and found that few things are missing around the IVT code: - no manpage, - no entry in driver.list - no device{mfr, model, type} in the code. I was about to submit a patch to address the above (ready to commit), but wanted first to get an update on the status. looking at the last thread, it's a bit unclear... I'm also interested an upsc

driver for IVT SCD solar controller ?
hi, I'm using the SCD-20 solar controller from IVT Gmbh in combination with a 230Ah battery and a photovoltaic panel to power a small server based on an Intel ATOM N270 CPU. the controller is (will be) connected to the server via RS232 (1200 8n1) and works like this: - if the battery voltage drops below 12V, a warning LED is switched on - if the battery voltage drops below 10.5V, the load
