[PATCH 1/4] tun: Interface to query tun/tap features.
The problem with introducing checksum offload and gso to tun is they
need to set dev->features to enable GSO and/or checksumming, which is
supposed to be done before register_netdevice(), ie. as part of
TUNSETIFF.
Unfortunately, TUNSETIFF has always just ignored flags it doesn't
understand, so there's no good way of detecting whether the kernel
supports new IFF_ flags.

[PATCH 1/1] tun: TUNGETIFF interface to query name and flags
Rusty/Max,
While adding support to KVM for IFF_VNET_HDR it became apparent that we
need some way of querying a file descriptor for whether IFF_VNET_HDR has
been set.
Basically, some apps like libvirt open the tap fd, connect the interface
to the appropriate bridge and pass the fd to kvm via the command line.
So, those apps need to set IFF_VNET_HDR and KVM needs to be able to
detect that and

[PATCH net-next V2] tun: introduce tx skb ring
We used to queue tx packets in sk_receive_queue, this is less
efficient since it requires spinlocks to synchronize between producer
and consumer.
This patch tries to address this by:
- introduce a new mode which will be only enabled with IFF_TX_ARRAY
set and switch from sk_receive_queue to a fixed size of skb
array with 256 entries in this mode.
- introduce a new proto_ops peek_len which was

[PATCH v4 8/8] macvtap/tun: add VNET_BE flag
The VNET_LE flag was introduced to fix accesses to virtio 1.0 headers
that are always little-endian. It can also be used to handle the special
case of a legacy little-endian device implemented by a big-endian host.
Let's add a flag and ioctls for big-endian devices as well. If both flags
are set, little-endian wins.
Since this is isn't a common usecase, the feature is controlled by a

[PATCH] tun: Fix/rewrite packet filtering logic
Please see the following thread to get some context on this
http://marc.info/?l=linux-netdev&m=121564433018903&w=2
Basically the issue is that current multi-cast filtering stuff in
the TUN/TAP driver is seriously broken.
Original patch went in without proper review and ACK. It was broken and
confusing to start with and subsequent patches broke it completely.

[RFC/PATCH LGUEST X86_64 07/13] lguest64 loader
plain text document attachment (lguest64-loader.patch)
I noticed that the lguest loader code for i386 was in
Documentation/lguest. Well, that's fine (I guess) but
it can't just be for i386. So I made a separate directory
to put the loader code in. So now we have:
Documentation/lguest/i386/... for the lguest i386 loader.
and
Documentation/lguest/x86_64/... for the lguest x86_64

[patch 9/9] lguest: the documentation, example launcher
From: Rusty Russell <rusty@rustcorp.com.au>
A brief document describing how to use lguest. Because lguest doesn't have an
ABI we also include an example launcher in the Documentation directory.
