rc15 errors
Hi,
Since I installed rc15 I'm seing the following errors in logs of a
server with several hundreds of pop3 and imap users. All the indexes
have been erased and recreated after installation.
Dec 21 21:06:46 rouge dovecot: pop3-login: inotify_init() failed: Too
many open files
The maildir mailboxes are on NFS, but the indexes are local. What should
be done to correct this error ?

fs quota plugin and NFS
Hi,
I'm trying to use the Dovecot v1 fs quota plugin. The server uses NFS
mounted volumes for INBOX and other maildir folders. The /usr/bin/quota
command is working seamlessly but I get errors with the quota plugin,
which gives the following logs:
Apr 19 17:46:15 rouge dovecot: IMAP(xyxyxyx): quotactl(Q_GETQUOTA,

1.0.rc19 released
http://dovecot.org/releases/dovecot-1.0.rc19.tar.gz
http://dovecot.org/releases/dovecot-1.0.rc19.tar.gz.sig
Just did a few more fixes to index files. Do they help with anyone's problems?
- ACL plugin didn't work unless control dir was separate from maildir
- More index file handling fixes

rc18->rc19: read/unread/reply flags broken
Timo,
This might be a bit vague, but I have noticed that rc19 seems
to have broken the read/unread/reply flags in imap. My officemate
has had problems with messages that are read and marked as read then
mysteriously get remarked as unread the next time email is checked.
I've had problems where I reply to a message and it does not get
marked as "answered". We didn't see this

Query: LSUB "" "*" still on rc19
Hi all,
We've downgraded to rc17 for the past week or so, as when we upgraded to
rc19, this error did go, but came back again.
ERROR: Could not complete request.
Query: LSUB "" "*"
Reason Given: Internal error occurred. Refer to server log for more
information.
Looks like it never helped us in rc19. Back on rc17 just now, which we
still have to restart a few times a day,

Mail Answered status flag in pine stopped working in rc19
The Flag indicating that a message has been Answered does not work in
pine. The status flags for New and Deleted work as always. The Answered
flag worked properly in dovecot 0.99, but after upgrading to 1.0rc19 it
stopped working. Interestingly, mail that was answered before upgrading
to rc19 still shows the proper flag.
I have tried with mbox_dirty_syncs turned on and off and I have tried

Apologies if this is an <=rc19 thing, but am waiting for rc24 to come into

dirsize quotas crashing 1.0.rc19
Hi,
I've been trying to get dirsize quotas to work properly with 1.0rc19
and Dovecot consistently crashes when attempting to do file copies
once a user is over quota.
Dovecot works fine for us for regular mbox based IMAP, but as soon as I
add the following two entries in their respective locations in dovecot.conf:
mail_plugins = quota imap_quota (in the imap{} section)
quota =

read/unread flags broken in rc19 ?
Hi,
I'm posting to relate that on debian unstable dovecot imap 1.0rc19 I'm
experiencing exactly the same as seen on this thread:
http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2007-January/018937.html
All mail dating from last sunday (only that day it seems) gets reset to
unread after I mark them as read after a period of time. This with
thunderbird.
Thanks for any help on this topic :)

deriv when one term is indexed
Hi,
I'm fitting a standard nonlinear model to the luminances measured
from the red, green and blue guns of a TV display, using nls.
The call is:
dd.nls <- nls(Lum ~ Blev + beta[Gun] * GL^gamm,
data = dd, start = st)
where st was initally estimated using optim()
st
$Blev

This works fine but I

Aggregate rows to see the number of occurences
Hi,
I have a set of data like the following:
[,1] [,2]
[1,] 10 2
[2,] 7 0
[3,] 1 0
[4,] 1 0
[5,] 15 0
[6,] 17 4
[7,] 4 0
[8,] 19 8
[9,] 10 2
[10,] 19 5
I'd like to aggregate it in order to obtain the frequency (the number of
occurences) for each couple of values (e.g.: (10,2) appears twice, (7,0)
appears once). Something cool

blank pdf output when called in a loop
Hi,
I'm hitting a strange problem where pdf plots that I'm trying to make
are blank, only when produced from within a loop. The pdf contains 0 page.
I've narrowed the problem to this minimal script that invariably
produces an empty pdf with my setup:
pdf("/local/scratch/1.pdf", width=8, height=8)
for (k in 1) {
wireframe(volcano)
}
dev.off()
The odd thing is that
